Revamped Overview

Letting everyone know here that there's an active community on Tha Cyber Lounge Discord. We have a small community that play all sorts of games. Feel free to join that Discord and reach out to the HWK players and or myself. And if you're interested in the Zombie HWK server, I have that info to share as well to get you hooked up with old players as well as the new school/console folks. That Discord is lit, over 1K users, maybe a handful of actual players though.

So the HWK Discord Server is up, named Hawken Refugees; be certain to connect and say hi. If you use a differnet Discord name like I do, just change it via a nickname to the one you used in your HWK Pilot days. The tutorial channel will get you up and running on a East Coast Sever. The one who set this up is pretty clear that this is it and don't ask for other servers ( like one on the West). Nonetheless, it's very cool that this is up and if some of you like me, who didn't buy the console have a place to get our grove on or rust broken off.

PM me for the link as I have one to share for those who missed my initial blast of PM's.

I just learned tonight of this terrible news about Brandt 'bkcat1' Hatch.

I use to steam call him to get West Coast matches going when coms didn't exist. He was a well rounded guy when interacting, showing kindness and grace.

Some side stories;
He took time to play with my daughter and I in HWK, trying to keep her alive in tdm using the Tech. My daughter has always asked after that when I play(ed) HWK if bkcat1 was playing before moving onto the next name she remembered.

Sometimes he had friends over showing them things in HWK or Space Engineer's when I dropped him a line to see if he would join us. When he could, he was in doing his thang, crushing me! Like Crockrocket said, he would have to que last to get in with us.

Doing some duels, he was explaining to me how to boost, side boost, boost, side boost to get away when low health. I told him he might as well be warping ( ping/lag) because he was uncanny at avoiding shots when he evaded ( more like my poor aim). He laughed (knowing it was my poor aim), so I asked him what keyboard he uses..., he responds with "stock". I'm confused a little and say "stock what?", bkcat1: "stock HP keyboard".... hahaha, I lost it as I thought it was funny yet I was on a cliff hanger to research this OP keyboard he was using. Such a down to earth guy, maximizing his tools, his talents in the sketch book ( would love to see it in person ) and making lasting impressions upon people he met.

You're truly missed by many bkcat1, blessings to your friends, family and loved ones.

So I just found out there's an unofficial HAWKEN Discord. Its nice and some old faces/users are in there. If you want the link, let me know. If there's enough feedback, I'll post it.

Look at the is steam chart of HWK. If we have the launcher, we should log in to boost the numbers to show that the 100 of us were better and loyal than the xBox PlayStation crowds.

I run a Discord server and another Steam Group called Tha Cyber Lounge. I'm using that to unify players who play other games. The Discord Server is active and all are welcome there. Pormoting content too, so its a little bit of everything. Tha Cyber Lounge Steam Group and Discord are open to join, hit me up if you want to be included. I've reached out to many on Discord to just show that I'm there. Not all are active and that's cool. Like you Tahoma, I leave the Jelly in my username. I do miss mechs, looking for more content on my home server to post.

Side note, I've been playing a lot of Elite Dangerous and it helped a lot with the cockpit withdrawals. Not that I'd rush out to buy the game, but if any of you play that, hit me up.
It goes on sale for ~$22 sometimes as well.

We should add eachother on steam you guys.. I literally won't remove Tahoma from my username because I have the shred of hope that it will continue to unite me with HAWKEN players.

I may have uninstalled it, but I certainly won't remove it from my steam library.
It makes me so sad to look at it.

pt. 1 We could definitely pool together, with all of us and all the connections we have outside of our circle together, we could certainly pull together a working project and likely kickstart it, but follow tf through instead of the asswipes that ran hawken through the ground.

That would be one of the coolest things that could possibly happen.
Mechs are nowhere near IP. We could build it on lumberyard for free, at least at first.
Or unreal I guess if you're all feeling clingy.

I know most of you are old enough to drink, we could pull this off.
