Vagabond (Japanese: バガボンド, Hepburn: Bagabondo) is a Japanese epic martial arts manga series written and illustrated by our Takehiko Inoue-sama. It portrays a fictionalized account of the life of Japanese swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, based on Eiji Yoshikawa's novel Musashi.

Vagabond is a beautiful and profound story about a man torn between vanquishing his demons, caused by an abusive father in his violent past, and his strong desire to comprehend the world.

It strikes an excellent balance between gory action, introspection and existentialist philosophy - even has some comedy in it.
