Singularity Gaming's Dota 2 League

Season 3 has been delayed until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience!

RULES:

All match times are in Pacific Time.

Games will be played in Captain's Mode only. Arriving late for check-in will result in a reserve time penalty. Teams who arrive more than 20 minutes late will be disqualified.

The tournament will follow a 16 team, double elimination format.

Teams will receive a maximum of 5 pauses and 5 minutes of pause time per game, whichever comes first. No accommodations will be given for players with connection problems if these pauses are all used up. All matches will be played on the US West server, so entry is STRONGLY discouraged if you do not live in North America.

A majority of a team's listed members must played in each match, meaning teams may use no more than 2 stand-ins at any given time.

The match start times listed in the schedule below are the mandatory check-in times for participating teams and their respective matches. Times in the schedule will, of course, rarely be exact. Regardless of whether the previous match is still going on or not, you MUST check in at or before the time listed for your match.

Two weeks from now, on December 6th through December 8th, Singularity Gaming will host its third Dota 2 League! This isn't the same tournament you're used to, though...

What's New
Bigger prizes. More games. Epic loot. This time around, we'll not only be handing out prizes for second place, but third and fourth as well! It won't be that easy, though: the tournament format will be double elimination, meaning the climb to the top will be much tougher than before.

Prizes

1st place: 15 keys, variety of winners' choosing
2nd place: 5 keys, miscellaneous variety
3rd/4th place: Rare/Uncommon TI3 Secret Shop tagged items (1 per player)

Introducing the Dual Stream
With a double elimination format, we'll have to cast twice as many games. The solution for our time constraints? Dual streaming. We'll be using two twitch channels, SiGDotaRed[www.twitch.tv] and SiGDotaBlue[www.twitch.tv], each run by two casters, to simultaneously cast upper and lower bracket matches to make sure you can see all the action.

Signing up for Season 3
Team registration for Season 3 will open immediately. Check the group forums for the registration thread and make a post listing your team's name, roster, and up to 2 alternates (listed alternates will not count toward your stand-in limit if used as a substitute for another rostered player). You may also include a preference for the time of your initial match.
