SERVER STUFF 2 - NEED INPUT

Hey guys! Update on the server situation.

I've been talking to a few people about the server I think we're getting to a point where we can start getting ready for one. One of my friends (Pelican) and I have just started talking about the server. He's worked on servers in the past and has expressed interest in helping us setup!
We're currently unsure about the specifics on price and server client, but just having somone who's worked on these things before is very nice. We don't have a schedule set up but we'll keep you posted.

On the server, I was wondering what settings we should have.
How many players should we have?
Should we be a public or a private server for group members only?
Should we limit classes or items?
Should we have priemium benefits?
What would be worth paying for on a server?
How much would be fair to pay and for how long per month?

I'd like to know your thoughts!

URGENT - Server Help

Hi all!
As you can tell under the heading, it's your new leader Amtyk. I'm calling out to every member of the group on this one. As you may or may not be aware, we've been trying to become a "proper" clan with our own servers for some time now. Due to our lack of having a server we have also missed out on some wonderful oppurnities for the clan to get together (like how our halloween event tradgically fell through).

Unfortunately servers aren't free. After doing a crap-ton of research, I found that going out and buying a server tower is going to cost round $300 for a tower with good enough hardware to run like 20~ people, plus (since I'd have to run it 24/7 to make the cost worth-while) electricity bills, and having to talk to my internet provider to allow people to access my server from the internet (more money). So, for the time being I don't think I would have any of the resources to handle that.

Doing something like this is nice since I don't have to directly deal with the prices of owning everytihng. But that means still forking out a crap ton of money (for a college kid or anyone really).
Now I have all of the nesscary stuff to have admin controls on the server on hand (SourceMod packs, ect) and ready to go on a server. But I alone don't have the money to pay for a server. So I'd like to ask people what they'd think would be a good method of doing donations and what would be a good initiative for people to donate (other than kindness of the heart)?I'd hate to have to go too crazy with the Premium stuff like a NightTeam servers. What do you guys think is good or fair?
I'd love for you guys and gals out there to help us in anyway you can!
