El Chupacabra  [author] 18 Sep @ 9:18am
Hey there.
I dont play Stellaris for a while now, but I will update this mod with the next release; it's a rather small amount of wotk it needs :)
Thanks for pointing out the new release!
EJR 17 Sep @ 7:24pm
Don't know if you still play this game but will you keep updating this? New DLC comes out next week and with it new Paradox-made empires/species
El Chupacabra  [author] 29 Aug @ 4:29am
your welcome!
Azerah 28 Aug @ 4:27pm
Thanks !
El Chupacabra  [author] 25 Aug @ 3:42pm
haha, glad to hear that :)

I suggest to place it at the very bottom of your mod list. But it shouldn't matter in most cases :).
Azerah 24 Aug @ 10:19am
This might just be the holy grail I was looking for.
Where do you advise to put it in the mod list order ?
El Chupacabra  [author] 9 Jul @ 10:45pm
"still spawn the vanilla Species" how do you mean this?
This mod removes all prescripted species - so these you normally see on the left when you click on New Game.
This works for me, just tested it.

Which prescripted empire had spawned? Do the empires still appear in the new Game manue? Do you use any other mods which modify prescripted species?
Prince Yuval 9 Jul @ 7:18am
dosent seem to work.. still spawn the vanilla Species
El Chupacabra  [author] 8 Jul @ 6:25am
updated for Biogenesis species
El Chupacabra  [author] 7 May @ 3:05am
you can use this mod without any problems, but any species added since december 2024 will not be affected as long I don't update.

(...and if you run in any issue, please call me. But I can't think of anythning that could happen since this mod juste removes the script for the Pdox species whoich are not used by anything else relevant for the game)
Remulus 6 May @ 10:47am
Hey, how is the 4.0 Compatability? Thank you!

updated for season 8
El Chupacabra  [author] 12 Jun, 2024 @ 12:11pm
If you have the normal human empires still in game, it cannot be this mod (since I tested it just now in this moment and works totally fine).

I suggest that theres another mod which re-adds these empires. Try to disable all mods (but this). Then add mod-for-mod until these empires re-appaer.
El Chupacabra  [author] 12 Jun, 2024 @ 12:09pm
updated the mod; all Empire from the Machine Age DLCs now removed too.
Miiaboo 26 May, 2024 @ 10:10am
So after a long while, I figured I try this once more.

Still the problem of human empires persists. Every other empire is gone, but these two just won't go away.

Tried messing around with the files in prescripted_countries folder and that did absolutely nothing.

I'm giving up. Stellaris is dead for me :'(
El Chupacabra  [author] 19 Mar, 2024 @ 1:37pm
hey Adrian

Hm, to be honest, this mod should work correctly. Maybe the last patch created some issues?
I'm currently short in time, but I may can check it the coming weekend.

You can help me finding an solution if you send a screenshot of your "Steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris\prescripted_countries" folder.

If you like to, use contact(a t)vmods.org

cheers!

hello, great mod! i am sad to say that the "humans1" and "humans2" empires still persist and it is incredibly frustrating, because I tried absolutely everything I can to get rid of them. i tried deleting the content of the .txt files myself, overwriting them with blank ones, combining different mods and so on, but still they are still there.

what I did notice although is that these 2 empires only show up after i got the Humanoid Species Pack, so it definitely has to do something with that DLC, i am 100% sure of it (i tested it myself). maybe something can be done to fix this? thank you in advance, cheers! :TEKKEN8_JoystickN:
El Chupacabra  [author] 21 Feb, 2024 @ 1:24pm
okay, I just tested it again with my mod: It works 100% - there are no prescripted empires. As well no human ones.

Just in case that there was something going wrong at Steam wprkshop I reuploaded the mod.

Please try again; if you still have the human empires, the problem has to be on your side (most probably another mod adding prescripted empires while not using original files).

About the files, yeah, sorry, I remebered it wrong. The game can't load an empty 00_top_countries.txt, thats why it crashed. To get it working, this file have to be overwritten with an blank one (which is how my mod work).

It was different some years ago, but now I remember, they changed that long ago.
El Chupacabra  [author] 21 Feb, 2024 @ 1:12pm
strange. Let me check, will post answer soon.
Miiaboo 19 Feb, 2024 @ 3:14am
Thanks for the speedy reply! QwQ

I tried your suggestion, but deleting the files themselves just caused the game to crash on loading screen for me.

I then verified the cache integrity and instead of deleting the files, I tried manually deleting the text inside the files... Same thing.

...I haven't played Stellaris in ages just because of human empires not going away. ;_;
El Chupacabra  [author] 19 Feb, 2024 @ 2:54am
hm thats strange. This should work afaik. Or was there an update I missed?

Sad it doesn't work. As an quick fix you can go to your game directory:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris\prescripted_countries

and delete all the files inside. You will not change anything but get rid of all prescripted empires.
Just remember thats "direct" modding of the vanilla files, so every update or reinstall will restore these files.
Miiaboo 19 Feb, 2024 @ 2:48am
Tried this and another mod to get rid of the premade empires.

Neither worked for me, as human empires still persist.

Doesn't seem to matter which disabler I pick as the default human empires are there, even after multiple re-installs of the game.

I'm clueless as to what's going on or how to fix it Q_Q
El Chupacabra  [author] 25 Dec, 2023 @ 4:39pm
updated, deactivates now all prescripted species.
JohnnyBonny 10 Nov, 2023 @ 2:44am
Hi the mod doesn't seem to be working, The default species still show up.
El Chupacabra  [author] 24 Oct, 2023 @ 4:28pm
your welcome!
EJR 24 Oct, 2023 @ 1:58pm
Oh sweet, thanks!
El Chupacabra  [author] 24 Oct, 2023 @ 1:36pm
and this one is updated!
EJR 11 Oct, 2023 @ 11:05am
Understandable. I took a month hiatus from Stellaris myself and came back yesterday, was just going through my modlist and saw this one wasn't updated for a while. If you don't feel like doing it then don't let me force you, wouldn't want someone to walk an extra mile to a destination they have no point going to.
El Chupacabra  [author] 11 Oct, 2023 @ 10:44am
Hey, I still do not play Stellaris for the moment.
But do you mean update of specificly this mod? That would be easy to do (this weeked).
My other mods... sadly to much work to get them running for the current build, at least for now.
EJR 10 Oct, 2023 @ 7:29pm
Don't know if you still play Stellaris, but update for 3.9.2? Came back after a hiatus myself and had to reorganize my modlist, including removing some.

@UncleYar This is months late but IDC. The point is that the content included in First Contact was not enough to justify making it a DLC, it could have easily been made as part of base game. This could be said for the other DLCs, but I have never seen a Stellaris DLC seem so... little? Underwhelming? I can't think of the word but you know what I mean.
El Chupacabra  [author] 23 Jul, 2023 @ 12:42pm
updated, should now disable all prescripted species :)
Wodan 17 Jun, 2023 @ 4:20pm
thank you.
El Chupacabra  [author] 17 Jun, 2023 @ 2:23pm
yarrr!
It should work with the latest version partially, but I think it do not dsiables the prescripted empire from the latest DLCs. iirc Oceanic and Toxic ones will still appear since I didn't updated since then.
Wodan 17 Jun, 2023 @ 1:14pm
Does this work for the latest version? I also find the DLC policy somewhat critical, with Stellaries it is less... but what they are doing with Victoria 3 and crusader kings 3 borders on insolence. That's why I became a pirate.
UncleYar 18 May, 2023 @ 4:38pm
@EJR "it doesn't even reach 1GB" lol, WTF kind of metric is that? Reminds me of the story of the russian officer asking for "one meter" of documentation" for some software, as in one meter thick of printed paper.
A DLC could be jam-packed with tons of code for new features and a lot of event text, which take serious effort to implement, yet take only a few MB on disk.
El Chupacabra  [author] 29 Apr, 2023 @ 1:00am
for me (as a modder) they could stop creating new content and just update bugs/improve the code. For the new content, the modding community is the way to go :D
Makes fun to create, is free and you don't have to redo/rebalance the mods every month ;)
EJR 28 Apr, 2023 @ 11:42am
I wouldn't mind if the DLCs were costly, they just need to equal the new content. It baffles me that First Contact is $15 and it doesn't even reach 1GB!
El Chupacabra  [author] 28 Apr, 2023 @ 9:08am
yeah, lets hope :)
Shame that their stuff is so costy :(
EJR 28 Apr, 2023 @ 8:01am
Understandable, Paradox games and their DLCs often have 50%+ discounts during the Summer so fingers crossed
El Chupacabra  [author] 28 Apr, 2023 @ 6:25am
heyya, I will update my mods one time for sure... But not sure when. Currently I'm sadly totally turned my back on Stellaris because there are to many DLCs/too expensive ones.

I don't like to do mods without all content available since it hinders my creativity. And I dont like to play with paywalls.
Since a year or so, I do not have enought cash to "get everything" and thus focused on more important things. Maybe if this changes or Pdox do a super sale with >75% on all DLCs, I'm back, but for now I have to use my ressources otherwise.
EJR 26 Apr, 2023 @ 8:46am
If you're still updating this, I assume you're waiting for Galactic Paragons?
