nope, I just put the explosion there to draw attention to the car as it spawns very close to the level.

yes, i'm now confident that is the issue, but is that an intended feature?

@Peanut it may be because the cars have an env_explosion which triggers when they enter the map? Other than that they just have a hurt trigger attached and a traitor trap which spawns an explosive barrel from a template stored out of bounds.

the cars that pass by ever so often are causing fires to pop up all of a sudden (i have vfire). why is this?

Thanks, actually I was working on L4D2 maps but hammer editor doesn't work any more for me - huge lag spikes when you click on anything. Something to do with new hardware. I posted on the forums but no fix.
