With 300.000 subscribers it baffles me they still haven't implemented a shield system.

@bruh, if it's not THYA's script, then it's likely one of my shield scripts. I've written multiple iterations of it and I remember that at one point I had it linked up to sound block. Right now, I'm working on some APIs (right now I'm a bit stuck on one part of it) that can be used in what I'm planning on to be my final shield script iteration because I'm getting tired of rewriting my shield codes.

I want to change some models and script behavior (Tiered version), would it be ok for you if I reupload the mod for our server unlisted / hidden?
I tried to change it with ModAdjuster but I am not able to setup the collision boxes correct....

uhm i cant get it to work i have foir of both the boosters but when i or my friends shoot my ship it still gets damaged and there is no visual effect when shot either shield also doesnt show that it gets damage

I have installed the Small Shield Generator on a large grid ship and it can damage the hull even with a pistol.
It seems to work in the control panel, but is it broken in version 1.205?

Does the shield cap and flux only change the values of the generators they are on?

So if I have a large ship large shield gen, stacked with capacitors, and 2 large ship small shield gens, stacked with flux capacitors, will they affect each-other, or just themselves?

Hi. Could i ask permission to upload a version for my personal server? The shields are too strong so I would nerf the stats.I would adjust other things as well. For example that HP wouldn´t add up with generator blocks.

Ive been having a problem where no matter how many shields I put on a grid, it always takes the same amount of time to completely deplete them from full charge. Is that a known bug or is it just something im doing?

@Hethan757 It is only partially possible. Visible effects on the client are completely out. While serverside damage blocking would be possible, if that damage is not also blocked on the client side, it used to lead to blocks still deforming and damage numbers were async. That's why I gave up on a mod.io version for xbox. :(

@Spoontactics I'm pretty sure the shield generator was copied from the refinery code in order to easily add support for adding modules to the block. This also explains why the shield generators have a refinery inventory, despite having no conveyor ports.

In other words, the mod is functional but unpolished.

what do speed and yield modules even do on the large shield generator? the power efficiency one is pretty self explanatory but why is there a yield rate and refine speed in the control panel of the generator?

Another request to please update. I really like this mod...but there seems to be a growing consensus (on Reddit) that this mod is causing random crashes, which I've been experiencing since the Signals update.

is it possible to add upgrade slots to the small ship energy shields at all, even non-graphically? or would that require rewriting the entire mod? I kinda want to make a variant of this mod to go along with the other shields mod as a complement, because as it they work very differently.

I personally use this mod alongside the other shields mod with weaponcore. it reduces damage very little to weaponry, but I use the settings to make these function more as a Hull Integrity Field, because it works very well against collisions and grinding, as well as protection from atmospheric entry, which the other mod doesn't touch at all as far as I noticed. it also works extremely well with modded or tiered upgrade modules, I personally use RIM's Tiered modules with it to greatly improve the power efficiency and recharge speed, but the small grid blocks get kinda left out since they have no upgrade slots.

best sheild mod imo. works 100% of the time as opposed to the god awful weaponcore sheild mod.
