Very short, and exceedingly on rails. No real options to do anything but follow along, mostly conversations with few options.
You get a neurowhip, but are unable to equip it. Not that it would matter, since the only real-world combat is with Molly Millions, who is EXCEEDINGLY combat proficient (in the books) .. I don't know about in-game, but in the books her reflexes are wired to the gills and she has extendable razor claws. .... And really, there's no reason to fight her (not that you'd stand a chance) but all you're trying to do is flee and escape.
Interesting attempt, but falls pretty flat sadly. ....... Also, I'd have prefered to see no metahumans. Just straight up William Gibson cyberpunk.

Neuromancer and the following books of Count Zero, and Mona Lisa Overdrive, are a fantastic trilogy and i advise all shadowrun fans to read all three.

Neuromancer is a really good book. Whether you play this mod or not you should read Neuromancer. Neuromancer CREATED the shadowrun world.

I've never read Neuromancer, so I went into this just as a Shadowrun mod. I found it to be pretty boring. Most of the scenes were just "go from one place to another" without anything to do. I bought a gun, but then didn't actually get to use it and was stuck with a matrix attack (in the real world?) and my fists. All of the combat scenes lacked cover. At one point, I attacked my pursuer and got her health down, only to find out she was invincible. The Matrix run was far too easy and there was an optional section that was entirely pointless. And I was confused as heck when in the end, "Molly" was the one who was attacking me and then when she came to my room, my character seemed to have forgotten that.

Maybe this is more enjoyable if you've read Neuromancer, but for someone who hasn't, I can't recommend it.

Ever since I took up Shadowrun I've been toying with the idea to make Neuromancer into a campaign... and then I found this. Awesome! Looking forward to trying it out!

This is pretty awesome! I just kind of wish that it was a bit closer to the book (IIRC, Case never participated in Screaming Fist), but it does kind of make sense, as the gameplay would be kind of boring without the combat bit.

love this history. can't wait to see the rest of it. congrats!

"...finishing college." heh, was that sarcasm? ;) But seriously, Boateye, I understand; education takes priority. Looking forward to seeing what cool skills you learn, and implement in future mod (or full game) content! Good luck :)
Belrathius 28 Oct, 2015 @ 8:46pm
Thanks for the replay and update. Best of luck finishing college!
Boateye  [author] 28 Oct, 2015 @ 5:13am
@belrathius. Unfortunately, i no longer have time to work on this project. Between finishing up college and my new job, my time is needed elsewhere for now. However, all of the filed that i used are available on the following git repo if any of you feel so inclined to expand on this project yourselves:

Last update (and comment) from Boateye is from April. Is this UGC being worked on still? Pretty small content since it is completed within an hour. I would llove to see this go further.

With all the "redux" titles out there like SNES Shadowrun, Star Citizen (aka Wing Commander), and Elite Dangerous, I'm really looking forward to a Neuromancer redux (and no, "Uplame" *coughuplinkcough* doesn't count...)
antony_ace 24 Jun, 2015 @ 8:33am
Oh man! this is awesome,There was a neuromancer game many many years ago and i am pretty sure there was one more but i can't remember the name. nice work btw! keep going!
terildo 25 Apr, 2015 @ 8:20pm
Ohh.. Im feeling stiupid now.
Boateye  [author] 25 Apr, 2015 @ 8:17pm
@Terildo, That's on Purpose. Case thinks the chase is a run in the Matrix, but he's in meatspace. That's why the matrix weapon does nothing in meat space, because it's all in Case's mind.

At least, that's what I was going for.
terildo 25 Apr, 2015 @ 8:04pm
Ad the beggining insted of a gun Im shooting matrix spell that do shit to enemy.
Treknor 18 Apr, 2015 @ 7:12pm
this is a huge project.. and I'm impressed that someone got the balls to do it... keep on
Swotty_Dev 6 Apr, 2015 @ 11:39pm

Boateye  [author] 5 Apr, 2015 @ 12:13am
I went ahead and applied some fixes to the problems that Alexey and Rangereric have reported. Hopefully you can now enjoy Project Shadowmancer! Let me know if you find any more bugs.
funkybrown 4 Apr, 2015 @ 10:41pm
I haven't been more excited about any other mod, will be following with considerable excitement!
Boateye  [author] 4 Apr, 2015 @ 7:45pm
@rangereric:

Did you check the alley in the left of the map? There should be a door that opens up.

@Alexy2128506:

That seems like a trigger misfire. I'll see if i can change that. Thanks!
alexey2128506 3 Apr, 2015 @ 1:34am
Screaming fist, first cyberspace area.
If Armitage leaving area first, Case remain locked in area forever. No enemies and transition point do not work.
alexey2128506 3 Apr, 2015 @ 1:14am
@Boateye,@Swalzi
Yes, problem was old "Stairs".
Re-subscribed using updated link and sky became like a dead-chanel TV :)
rangereric18 1 Apr, 2015 @ 6:20am
I'm having an issue during "The Tail". I inspect the terminal screen and see a woman (Molly?) run out and into hiding, but nothing else happens after that. Can't go into any of the buildings and going through the alleyway does nothing as well. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Boateye  [author] 25 Mar, 2015 @ 11:32pm
@Swalzi,

Thanks for pointing that out. I forgut to update the link from when i copy and pasted the description from the Shadowrun Returns Version of Project: ShadowMancer. The More Stairs and Doors link has now been updated in the description.
nuts 24 Mar, 2015 @ 11:26pm
@Alex

I ran into the same problem. Have you tried downloading "More Stairs and Doors" in the Shadownrun: Dragonfall workshop? Boateye's link leads to the Shadowrun Returns version which is incompatible with DF.
alexey2128506 24 Mar, 2015 @ 7:40pm
@Boateye

"More Stairs and Doors" subscribed (and was subscribed before)

Launch from Content menu tried, worse then from New Game menu: returned to Main menu immediately, without even Game Difficulty screen.
pokerface_666 22 Mar, 2015 @ 8:35pm
Don't mention it. If you need more help with German words or Expressions.. just ask, and I will help.
Boateye  [author] 22 Mar, 2015 @ 6:48pm
@Pokerface:

Thanks for the correction! I'll be sure to make those changes in the next update.
pokerface_666 22 Mar, 2015 @ 9:16am
Looks interesting... I like the Conversation with Ratz, but here let me correct some Mistakes you made in your writing. Since I am from Germany I noticed the Following:

Guten Tag would be correct. And you don't say "schiss" , because it has a differend meaning. If I read it right you want to say that Shit is expensive right? In that case you write That Scheisse :)

Now... I have to find out who is tailing me... detective mode on :P
Boateye  [author] 21 Mar, 2015 @ 4:56pm
@alexey: are you subscribed to More Stairs and Doors by Ferragus ?

Also, try launching the ugc from the Content menu.
alexey2128506 21 Mar, 2015 @ 2:18pm
Subscribed, tried to launch.
After "select difficulty" screen I am back in main menu.
Is it how it meant to be?
