Hmm, finally,
delete the "Patches" folder in the this mod's local folder,
then open "ThingDefs_Buildings" in the "Defs" folder,
then open "WallMountedOrbitalTradeBeacon_ThingDef.xml" in Notepad,
and search for "<designatorDropdown>810OTBgroup</designatorDropdown>",
and if you find it, delete it.
If this doesn't solve the problem, I honestly don't know what else to do...:aurip:

Is that true? Just to be sure, click on the vanilla trade beacon and make sure it's not in the dropdown.
In my environment it is there, so after checking the above, try a clean reinstall of this mod, and if that doesn't fix it, please let me know what you need to do to solve your problem.

It means the item doesnt even exist for me. I can't place it, because the game never loads the building into the game

It should be stored in the same space as a regular trade beacon.
Doesn't it appear as a dropdown when you click on a regular trade beacon?

Still broken with mods that update the right click action of the menu (Float Sub-Menus, More grouped buildings, Material Sub-Menu, I Aint Building That, etc)

i unsubbed, deleted the folder the mod was in, turned off rimworld.
subbed the mod again on steam, redownloaded from steam. loaded the mod again in rimworld.
loaded the existing save and:::::

they still have no texture in the architect menu and an X ingame when where Build Copy icon exists. They still work ingame and have textures in game, just no texture for in the menus.

Maybe steam hasnt updated the files that are for download yet despite you saying you already uploaded a fix. Idk

Check the local files of this mod and make sure the last update date is September 8th at 1:00 PM. If it is older than that, try updating to the latest version.

Linux is often the enemy that causes problems with my mods. I'm trying to fix it, but I'm feeling my way around. Please let me know if an update solves the problem.

The error kept happening, but I eventually found a workaround. I can’t say this is the “right” solution, but maybe my journey will help.

I first thought fixing the typo in About.xml (changing Orbial to Orbital) would solve the error, but it didn’t. When I looked deeper into the files, I found that even the icon filenames themselves were written as Orbial—so in practice, that spelling was actually correct. I reverted the path back to Orbial, but the same error still appeared. Then I wondered if Linux might not recognize the extra common folder in the path, so I moved the files out of it—and only then did it finally work. It seems the way the OS handles paths is different.

I think there’s a small typo in the mod files. The path uses “WMOrbial” instead of “WMOrbital” Could you please check on this? Thank you.

Assuming that the issue reported by Omega13 was primarily due to the cabin walls of "[kyzy] Ship Wall Enhanced", we have addressed an issue where wall-mounted orbital trade beacons would disappear when placed on cabin walls.

After some experimentation, I think that the cabin walls were the problem. Though they are capable of supporting literally every other wall mounted item I have tried, including modded ones, this one just seems to delete itself a little while later if I put it on a wall cabin. Again, as the cabins support at least a half dozen other types of wall mounted items without problem, I feel like the problem is probably not on their side.

I will say this: i was putting the beacon on the cabin walls from Ship Wall Extended. Perhaps that was a cause? I will experiment with putting them on a standard wall. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this because I like this mod, but with the current state it's in for my mod loadout, it is unusable. If it IS due to some odd setting with Land on Anything, then it remains unusable, because as I said Land on Anything is not randomly destroying anything else in my ship. Just this. So I feel like it's not Land on Anything's problem.

I can't confirm the fact that wall-mounted trade beacons can't withstand ship rotation in my environment, so it's likely a different cause.
It could be that you have Land On Anything's landing damage set to fixed damage instead of percentage damage, or that there's a conflict with a mod you're using that I'm not, but I can't say for sure since I don't have access to your save data.
If you can test it with a minimal list of mods that only include the mods that cause the problem and identify which mod is causing the conflict, we'll have a better chance of fixing it.

Conflicts with Medieval Overhaul -- all of the wall options disappear.

I am using land on anything, but the beacon is, like, in the center of my ship. Almost right next to my grav engine. And I've never had the mod destroy any other furniture.

If it helps, I have noticed that many other wall mounted modded items seem to jump around erratically since Odyssey, whenever the ship changes orientation. Perhaps it's doing that to this mod, but with a more negative effect?

What mods are you using and where are you placing this beacon?
For example, if you are using the "Land On Anything" mod and have the setting to destroy objects within two blocks of the ship when landing turned on, any wall-mounted furniture placed on the outermost side of the ship will disappear. This happens with vanilla wall-mounted lights and various other items as well, so it's not the fault of my mod.

Okay yeah I didn't even crash and that time it just straight up disappeared after I jumped in my grav ship. As cool of an idea as this mod is, I would not recommend using this until that gets fixed.

I have had this thing disappear on me three times. I dunno if it's getting destroyed during grav ship crashes and the blueprint just isn't reappearing or what. (Yes, I have my ship set to automatically rebuild destroyed structures.) I might recommend giving this thing more hit points so it doesn't insta-gib every time a ship has a minor crash. Not like the thing having more HP is going to make it overpowered.

I wasn't able to get this to work, and then I realized I had a conflict with this mod that also provides wall mounted orbital trade beacons
