Hey, I like my lower settings! Kept my game from crashing on larger mod lists lol

The resolution of these skies is 1024x1024 for top angle and 1024x512 for the rest, basically 2x the res of default skies. This is safe ground, since it cant cause any performance problems and at the same time textures are not compressed to hl1 quality.
I have no idea what may cause flickering on any shader setting than very high and google isnt being much helpful about this either. The only fix i see is finally upgrading ur toaster to run 2009 game on max settings.

personal crackpot theory after trying this one and the one without CC which on my end had a similar problem with flickering too is that maybe the texture resolution is too high? not sure, how larger is it compared to the original L4D skyboxes?

For me making sure my shader detail was on Very High fixed the issue of flickering

I really like this but it tends to flicker out and playing any modded levels the skybox is missing. Idk if there's a fix for this or not but eh.
