@Gordon? GORDAN! I know, I'll make a change later, since currently if I don't make them do the reload animation then they do T-pose so I'll see what other alternative I can do

also, my only complaints are that you can't change the Stunstick Melee for something else and that the Stunstick Melee switch is VERY EXPLOITABLE, when the Combine do the animation, they are opening themselves up to get blasted or beaten without any resistance.

Retail-Like Combine Soldiers by Fliz0. Easily.

It makes them be able to use any weapon while adding animations that fit in like a glove with the rest.

It also has a sibling addon that does the same thing with Metrocops. both are must-haves

i have another suggestion for the AI addon, this one is quite interesting. the combines could do a map wide patrol, they walk around THE WHOLE MAP in search for threats, and maybe elites could make up to 2 soldiers follow them?

another suggestion for the upcoming AI mod: combines could use more teamwork, and they should charge less since the base combines just run up to the enemy while shooting and die.

And no, the "peek from cover" thing is not possible because of the source engine.

new update is massive W, npc battles are way more interesting since now elites can be actually considered elites due to their new secondary weapon that makes them different from normal soldiers

Well you don’t have to switch if Mapbase is perfectly functional then just use it retail like animations conflicts with VJ base npcs and other npc bases

For your next addon to add some realism, you could do a simple cover system for NPCs, so they don't aimlessly run into eachother and actually try to survive, I know there's a cover system in the workshop, but it still makes the NPCs rush eachother like the braindead default AI not taking any cover and just running into line of fire, it's okay if you don't plan on doing this, just leaving the suggestion so it's taken into consideration in the future when you refine your LUA skills, but overall hope you have a pleasant time :steamhappy:
