Heya, what game did you grab the light shaft models from? I've been trying to find them but I cant seem to find them. Brilliant hammer work by the way ^.^

Outstanding environment, some of the most beautiful hammer work on the workshop. The puzzle scratches the itch for a quick but satisfying solution.

One of the most beautiful test chambers I ever played! The industrial atmosphere was amazing, and the puzzle was a great too!

spent like 30 minutes figuring out how to go out of bounds, then crawled along vents and beams onto the end catwalk. 10/10

Gorgeous map. I think I can even say the most beautiful I have ever seen. Wonderful job with it. I wish I could have done something as beautiful as this.

Puzzle is great too. Not so hard and not that obvious.

this is awesome looking, my FPS wasnt as bad as i expected it to be too! i couldnt beat it because i, among probably a ton of people, have a disorder called "skipping school"

What the actual fuck... amazing work.. keep it up!
Igrium 4 Nov, 2024 @ 11:37pm
This is the first map I've seen in a long time that actually feels underground rather than some kind of imagined, abstract space. Nice job!

Super super nice map, interesting puzzle. Devious hilarious ending. Professional grade map design, details, lighting, ambience. Only one gripe: you can't turn off the damn music which is mind numbing after a while.

How did you make the shadering?

I have zero hammer skills. If you like any of my chambers on my workshop, would be honored if you would consider hammerzing them ;)

@Z8ron, no worries, it didn't completely ruin my experience--just needed to reload and be smarter! However, I prefer if maps do not allow trapping situations.

Wouldn't a simple fix be to allow the player to walk up to (and eventually through) the portal surface with the little "x" that you point the laser into? Not sure if it breaks the puzzle...but it would allow a route back if you left both cubes on the other side and they weren't pressing any buttons

Yeah, that's one of the problems that I noticed when making the puzzle. I had made soft lock detection, but it looked scummy and was buggy, so I decided to remove it, not sure if it's that bad. If more people struggle with soft locking themself, I'll update the map.
E L Y T R O N 21 Oct, 2024 @ 10:02pm
wait, is it possible to soft lock yourself if you leave both cubes on the other side?

Awesome and clever test with a very statisfying AH-HA moment at the end.
And so much cool detail on this map, MAN!

I really enjoyed the colors and custom assets, and that big window that separates the two rooms was a godsend (also very cool effect with that low level distortion, looks nice)!

Also when GLaDOS roasted me for standing and looking at the details at the start was a hilarious.
(The same also goes to the ending when you can go back to the testchamber) .

Creative detail with the music as well, to control the pitch of the music with your portals is a cool concept. Sadly over time it was a bit annoying for me with those few looping beats, and because I was not able the controll the volume in the settings I had to manually kill it with ent_fire commands.

But over all AMAZING MAP! looking foward for your next one!
Thumbs up and favorited! :steamthumbsup::p2cube:

Absolutely great, loved the puzzle and the environment was beautiful. I appreciate how the ending also ensures progress isn't reset if the player takes a wrong turn.
