@gloriousyuri I use version 1.4 of Rimworld due to some mods I love not being updated for use with 1.5. I think this mod is awesome and would love to play with it. Could you please allow this to be compatible with Rimworld v1.4? Thank you

Original mod (and this one most likely, havent tested yet) is TPS heavy and that is the fact. My guess that it has to do something with rendering wires. But its 100% grafic issue.

@GREED Weird, I never had any performance problems with it. Maybe the power poles mod is conflicting with another mod you have? I also heavily recommend downloading performance fish as well as using RimPy to optimise the textures if you haven't already. Can triple your performance.

Here are my reccomendations.
1: 1.4 variant: I really like the powerpole design, there is already a 1.4 version but it has boring looking powerlines.
2: More complexity: Make them have rarer, but more catastrophic shorts, which if they short they load the powergrid infinetly till repair or isolation and also cause all connected generators to break and catch fire.
3: proper asthetics: when its just a powerline, it connects only to the top insulators, when connecting to normal wires the insulators connect to the transformer.

The power poles mod is unfortunately not just a performance killer, it is a performance annihilator, This mod is beautiful but unfortunetely I'd rather save the performance until there is some kind of patch to fix whatever is slowing my game down so much. (I tested with the power poles mod on and off, it was 100% the power poles mode that is hurting performance so much, a solid 60% decrease in FPS and TPS when in 3x speed.)

I wasn't even aware that the original was tps-heavy. all I did was swap some PNGs and tweak some values in the def XML
