I've tried subscribing to the map but it never shows up on SFM to download it. Is there something I'm missing or is it SFM's fault?

Tick the "point sample" flag, and textures will not be interlaced/blurred, no matter how low-resolution it is. VTFEdit location [sta.sh]

So why are the textures 512x512 instead of 16x16? If there is a reason and you tell me it, I can almost definitely tell you something that will let you spend a lot less time on converting the textures to VTFs, with lower file-size too, while it looks better than 512x512. @Omeggga: No, I had to make the whole thing from scratch in Hammer. I've tried and there is no possible way to convert a Minecraft world into a .VMF file.

@Vintage: If your going to complain about the map, don't subscribe to it. It's that easy. I didn't upload this to compare file sizes. The map is for people to work with, not argue with.

You need to have a reason for scaling 16x16 textures to 512x512, when it doesn't increase quality, and that's all you care about. And what is that reason?

@Vintage: I don't care. 512x512 isn't large compared to 1024x1024. File size does not matter anyways, it's in MB's or KB's. The quality of the map is what matters.

...According to the comments, you resized every texture to 512x512... Why would you do that? The quality doesn't increase by that. What does increase majorly, however, is the file-size.
