If it's still an issue after Importing , this might be a weird issue stemming from a mod. Although, just based on your description, it sounds like an issue I had myself before realizing "save scumming" is a major problem in Kenshi due to the way the Game Engine works lol :cactusrum::beeped:

This sounds more like an issue with "Corrupted Zone Data". This is a common issue that will arise if the zone data corrupted in that region. If you look through chests and they have a lot of duplicated items, it's because the game can't really reference things properly and it is also a common reason for crashing to desktop.

Please do an Import and see if that fixes the issue. You can also follow the Corrupted Zone Data guide if you have this issue somewhat often. This can also happen if you Quick Load while already in game (ie. save scumming), as it causes data to corrupt over time. :cactusrum:

So found a bug though idk what causes it. At the Lost Library Shun N ruins, an NPC drifter broke down the door to the ruins after I cleared all the crabs. Once I cleared inside, every shelf and every chest was locked. Unlocking them caused them to lock themselves again after like .5 seconds. If you loot the chests or shelves in the .5 seconds, the entire inventory was filled with tech/military maps, and random lore books.

If you loot anything and your game is not paused, it autofills with more books. If you loot the entire shelf/chest while paused, then unpause, it refills it with the rare loot like ancient science books, ancient weapon research, engineering research, ancient weaponry texts, etc. This can be abused as well by just pausing, fully looting the shelves/chests then unpause and repeat.

Have not made it far enough in my playthrough to check any other ruins though to see if its the same.

If you do have it installed, it's possible it has to do with the UWE races (ie. The shek subraces), which I'll need to look into it! Thank you for reporting it either way

Do you have the Crash Fix [www.nexusmods.com] installed? It's a manual install from Nexus and should resolve that issue.

I uninstalled the another stealth run and still crashed when going into stealth with more than 1 character selected. A minor nuisance since I can just stealth every character individually. Not sure what would be causing that though.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this yet but I found a new bug that crashes the game when you have the full squad selected and you go into sneak. It seems to be related to the another stealth run mod since I've seen people post on their mod comments about it too. Just letting you know in case anyone else runs into this problem as well.

Thank you for the detailed report! I'll make sure to reference back to this in the future. It's probably already known by TreadLightly (UWE Author) as he's very active on the Community / Modding Discords for Kenshi and I'm certain others have already told him lol. I'm sure it'll get fixed soon, if not a fan patch will probably be made.

Unfortunately it is something of a side effect with the "Dialogue Package" system for Kenshi, as I had very similar random bugs in my Quest mod that are hard to troubleshoot at times. It could be random somewhat unrelated AI / Dialogue Package that Hamut inadvertently inherits from something else entirely. :steamdeadpan: lol

Okay, so when I'm turned off UWE, Hamut didn't have any problem at all. But when I'm turned off every mods except UWE, then the problem show up again. I even redownloaded Kenshi and installed UWE alone and the same thing still happened.
I also decided to check the comment section and the Bug reports in the Discussion tab of the UWE page (at page 59 and 61 of the Bug reports thread), seems like other people also encountering similar problem with Hamut. So I think that's definitely come from UWE.

If you want, you can test a few things. Try disabling everything except UWE and do an Import to see if Hamut is still having the issue (you can backup the mods cfg to make it easier lol)

It could possibly be a conflict with something, as others have suggested possibly a dialogue mod (ie. Talkative Kenshi ). I'm not currently at my computer for a bit, otherwise I'd try messing with things myself haha :crusader_helmet::cactusrum::beeped:

Thanks for responding! I started a brand new save at Shark and still encountered the same problem with Hamut, so I think that's an UWE thing. Kinda strange because I never encountered this bug in previous UWE version before, so maybe this is the newer UWE problem

That also seems like a new issue which might stem from UWE (and/or UWE patches?) as nothing else should really edit his dialogues besides UWE and it's a similar issue someone else has reported with the guards (which might actually have to do with the Stealth Buster guard dialogue UWE patch).

I normally recruit Hamut every playthrough and they wouldn't do this before. Can you try and do an Import and see if that particularly changes anything? :cactusrum:

Enjoy the collection so far :beeped:! I don't know if this is a more recent bug or what, but when I'm recruiting Hamut, he kept doing the "following and talking" goal with the "..." text box. Also everytime when I'm assigned him to do work like mining, he kept ignoring the job and do the samething I mention above. Is this something to do with UWE? Thanks a lot!

No problem, Kenshi can do odd things at times for seemingly no reason lol (especially with a bunch of mods like this collection). Importing can fix like 99% of the issues you might run into, so thankfully it's included with the game haha

I would say any time you have an issue, try that first to see if it resolves anything. One thing to keep in mind with this game, do not "Save Scum" (ie. reloading a save while already in game if you die, etc.) as that will cause a lot of issues further down the line. If you need to reload, exit fully to desktop and reload that way.

If you randomly begin to crash, it's more than likely from corrupted zone data (which quickloading can for sure cause). You can follow this guide if you ever run into any major issues! :2017stickycrab:

Okay yeah importing the save seems to have worked, they all look alot beefier instead of skinny little twigs and have decent stats like the other sheks around them now, sorry I'm fairly new to modding Kenshi I assume this is one of those things to try first before asking around for help? Thank you!

No that appears to be a new issue lol, as no one has reported this before and I've never seen that.

If you want, you can try to do an Import and see if that fixes the stat issue. The Bele'coz faction should actually be on par with the various Sheks you see in the area, as they're essentially a breakaway faction from the Shek Kingdom.

Hi sorry is the bele'coz faction meant to be like 0 stats on every single one of them? or did i mess something up in my game, i started the game in the shek area as the shek start and after wandering off I found a faction called bele'coz but every single one of them seems to have literally 0 stats

I'll need to update my own patches eventually, but I'll probably do those later. The Items Integration Patch (for this collection) is very outdated by this point, so it'll probably require a total rebuild at this point beyond whatever bugs it previously had.

It should eventually pop up, although you can also try looking at Flats Lagoon as they also have a lot of good blueprints and items you can buy (and it's also where I normally put my "HQ" lol), and it's generally in the same area as the other locations I listed in the other post :cactusrum:

Yes, can confirm it is tied to UWE since I found this type of dustcoat on the bastards (found in Bast) and desolate plunderers (found in Shun). Still no blueprint tho, visited Black Scratch several times but it didnt turn up. Oh well, there is a lot of blueprints in this collection so it might turn up in time. Love this collection btw!!

I believe it may even be a part of UWE as of recently, but there's an additional mod that adds additional belt items, although that's mostly hats and other useful items.

Everything on the collection is more or less craftable, but the blue prints may take awhile to accumulate. I would recommend traveling to the Black Scratch "Great Library" and you have a much better chance at buying blueprints, as there's around 100 to buy which refreshes daily/48hrs. There's also a decent amount of buyable houses should you want to make a makeshift "Lab" nearby to accumulate them more efficiently. Black Desert City is also another good location to try, but be careful! :steammocking: :crusader_helmet::cactusrum::beeped:

Yeah unfortunately the "save scumming" issue (quick loading while already in game), it's an issue even in Vanilla Kenshi. It's just *more* of a problem when you have a lot of mods. It's because of the way the game was designed (or moreso the engine), as it's constantly streaming data in/out and not exiting *fully* from the game (to desktop) effectively continues the data stream. Even starting a New Game after already playing a Save (without quitting) will almost guarantee corruption on the new save.

Someone, here in the comments, said recently that the MEGA List (Anrhaa's) has custom loading screen tips that tells Players *not* to save scum so avoid these problems. I'll end up doing that for this list as well, as this gets brought up like once a week in the various discussion threads/this comments section for Corrupted Zone Data.

I may need to rework that mod a bit as well, as the Rip and Tear mod is missing the UWE factions/new enemies and is effectively "random" on who you're allowed to outright kill lol. It does definitely cause it's own issues, such as slaves in a camp, although that was mostly already fixed by just excluding them outright ☠️

Kjulo gave permission forever ago for me to release a UWE version for this reason, but just never got around to it (and it's literally 100s/1000+ of new NPCs to modify 💀💀💀)

More than likely it's a mixture of the various weapon mods on the collection, although in particular there's a Nodachi and Missing Weapons Sheath mods. They shouldn't be disappearing though, the opposite is what I intended lol

I may need to look into it, but if it's randomly disappearing, it means there's a mod conflict potentially that is cycling between the models (this is why I made the Claymore Patch mod)? :crusader_helmet::cactusrum::beeped:

I'm glad you enjoyed the collection! You can probably salvage the save by doing an Import . If I had to guess, it's because of corrupted zone data. You can read more about what causes this and how to fix it In This Guide . :cactusrum:

You can also disable the Buried Treasure mod to remove the notification spams. Unfortunately, there's not a way to disable those notifications as it's a part of the base game and how the mod functions (it spawns an empty/mostly empty nest, but this causes the game to register it as "Dead" and issues the notification)

Hi does anyone know which mod in this collection affects weapon sheaths disappearing?

Mainly for Toppers and Nodaichi.

Also whichever mod adds the "hearts" to NPC humans, but not all of them. I'd like to disable that since it leads to a lot of "X was discovered smuggling heart" notification spam near UC towns which I needed to disable just like the "Tech Hunter Cache/Smashed machinery was wiped out" notification spam from that one mod in economy.

already did play your collection A LOT! Stopped when for some reason kept crashing and crashing again and again after loading in the same region, but it does not matter, it still was a blast! I'll just wait your next update and try to finish that run, if not I'll gladly do another^_^ really too much fun to play kenshi with this collection, at least for me. Best way to relax after work.

Ah very interesting lol, thank you for letting me know! Yeah I have way too many weapon mods on the list, but the specific load order makes it how I felt was most "visually" consistent (since some packs override the same exact Sword, etc.).

Found it!, the 'Project weapon sharpening' changed the iron sticks/clubs into Iron axes, and planks into warrior blades, its gone now, and now to add soul world and attempt smithing rework...

It's because UWE's more recent updates changed the guard's dialogue chains, but talkative kenshi is overriding some of it. Not a huge deal, just can be a little buggy because the "..." guard lines would mean they just follow you around lol. You can RP it as them being nosey or something :crusader_helmet:

I think there might be an issue with Talkative Kenshi. You can read a bug report about it by DrPotis in this discussion thread . You can disable Talkative Kenshi and The Patch for now until it's fixed later. :2017stickycrab:

Only have the mods listed in this collection, fairly new play through of it.
When in a bar, I think this NPC is a bouncer of sorts I sometimes have them follow me anywhere in the bar with a blank chat bubble "...."
