There is a bug with the C_hands m249, when you run out of ammo, the bullet clip is still there and does the not empty reload animation

Are you planning to do a HL1 ver of these weapons? I love how you upscaled the textures and it would be cool to see a HL1 HD texture weapon pack.

I'm going to try to catch up on this addon. I just updated a couple of things, like the Displacer model, which was displaying incorrectly, a couple of missing sounds, and made the Displacer and Satchel text clearer. I also added a new image here.

I'll fix the chands later :)

You know, those weapons are pretty good, even though there where problems with the C_Hands versions of the Beretta and the Deagle, where the muzzle flash is under the barrel and where on the Beretta the hands are missing when you equip it or when you reload it after running out of ammo, but anything about that, this pack is nice, like i just love the inclusion of the Barnacle Grapple, something that wasn't seen in the old Opposing Force Weapons Addon.

Yeah, this is the best Opposing Force weapon pack so far and the only one with C_hands. So I would REALLY love a version of it without the AI-upscalled textures at 4K at over 300 MB

Hey is it alright for me to use your hd textures for my own model rip? I already have it as a completely different weapon that doesn’t conflict with yours and I made all it on my own BUT I just don’t like how low quality default textured are.

I would totally credit you and mark you as a creator if you give would like. I just feel it’s proper modder etiquette to ask before I upload anything.

Fun fact: The Opposing Force expansion disc was only 100 mb as a whole. And even the Steam release is only 200 mb lol

my only complain and i wish it could be arrange someday is the recoil....its too damm hard to even land shots with the m4 or with the m240 due to the wild recoil

That being said, I had a lot of fun replaying Half-Life 1 with these weapons even with these minor inconveniences. Regardless of the problems I had, or how I compared their current features against the actual ones in Oppossing Force, I would say that they are pretty well balanced and fun, and heck, even some of them had no problems at all like the Deagle.

The Penguin also never attacks enemies unless they are an inch in front of the penguins (and even then they would sometimes just don't anything? That problem happens often against big enemies). Which to be honest you could fix by simply making the Penguins a reskin of the Snarks and simply switching the Snark explosion with a grenade explotion.

Another bug is with the Satchel, as trying to use them just drops the weapon and is so weird as they just tumble and spin around like when you grab a prop and toss it. And about explosive weapons, for some reason you can no longer pre-cook the grenades.

The Shock Roach can charge ammo infinitely instead of toping at 10. And the Barnacle weapon is too slow and just instakill anything the second the white part touches them instead of only doing damage when you reach them.

The M249 also is very hard to control and it just jitters your screen a ton, so I would suggest reducing the screenshake a lot. And it also has a bug where it reloads the ammunition WAY before finishing the animation, so you can start shooting again as soon you open the latch for the M249. The 9mm Assault Rifle also suffers from more screenshake compared to the MP5 but I guess that's fine.

Now on to bugs. The Wrench (yes, again) has a problem when using the c_hands version, where it will show the hand correctly, but instead of hiding the rest of the arms behind your view, it hides them to the other side of the map so it streches your arm from your screen to the end of the level and it just looks trippy in first person. The 9mm Handgun also shows Adrian Shepherd's arm in the middle of the screen regardless of if you are using the c_hand version or not. Oh and it the c_hands version also takes like a full second to show the hands as they become invisible for a bit.

Another feedback is in those 2 weapons as well (the Wrench and the Displacer Cannon) is that they the Wrench does barely any damage to boxes. As in Oppossing Force, the regular swing would destroy a small box in 1 fast swing, and the big boxes in 1 big swing. But in this addon it takes several hits to destroy a single small box, and I think it even needs way more than the crowbar lol. The Displacer canon's energy ball only does damage when detonating, when that thing should damage enemies nearby when travelling before exploding. And I also think that the teleporting feature should be reworked as it just takes you to the void everytime.

And speaking of Low damage, the Sniper Riffle should always be able to kill a soldier in Oppossing Force in 1 shot, while in here it will only kill with 1 shot if it was a headshot, as leg-shots and arm-shots requires 2 or 3, and shooting the chest can be a gamble as sometimes they die from 1 shot, and other times it takes 2 for some reason.

Hi Hi! After making a full playthrough of Half-Life 1 with this addon (the coop addon lets you change what weapons replace each of them with the console) I have some feedback to give.

In terms of graphics, I really liked some of the weapons, but others have their AI upscaling WAY too overdone to the point of looking like a complete mess in the most literal sense possible. Like the textures of the Wrench or the Displacer Cannon. I really much prefer the more subtle texturing work you did for weapons like the Sniper, the Deagle or the Shotgun.

I've just realized something similar happens with ALL recoil, and when you mount half life the weapons there have it fixed. Some sort of smoothing effect to all recoil, seems to be a recent addition to mounted content as i don't recall it working a while ago. It's like that in the original games.

Oh, I'm so sorry, I had no idea I had a snippet of your code in my plugin. I looked at the code and I really don't know why it was there, the plugin didn't use that code at all.
It may be that I left it at some point during the creation of the plugin to test things but in the end I discarded it and forgot to delete the code.
