I think it's possible for other aspects like shops and Animation mods but if they did those manually... that's not gonna be viable. Hopefully someone does a patch. I'd love to have this mod get more attention

Glad you like the mod. I don't recall whether that's possible or not, but I can try to get a chance to check at some point. If it's not possible, maybe someone here can create patches for other mods.

I'd love to see an update on this where there is a blanket code to have animals from other mods to have the loot. I know it's hard work but I hope one day this has that. I never went playing without this mod in my list after discovering it.

The baskets for crafting and storage from the building section seems to be floating off from the ground instead of touching it. Like, literally levitating off especially on low grounded areas.

The Crab Trouser icon is broken, but that is a minor thing for now.

Along with that, is the Crab-Plated Armor set supposed to be this OP in regards to its weather protection? Seems rather overkill for a bunch of crudely crafted outfits to have 100% protection against acid and dust when they're barely covering most of everything on the body.

At the very least, maybe tone down the protection a little bit to make the armor pieces more viable when it comes to mixing and matching other sets. A slightly more customized model for the crab-plated armor would be nice too, but that is mainly optional.

But, for the most part, I'm still digging this mod that allows me to have more options in roughing it better.

My internet is very slow and Genesis is around 2GB, so unfortunately right now I won't be able to do anything about it. I will see if I get a chance to have a look at it later.

I'm already using it and so far there haven't been any problems.

What I noticed is that Genesis also has new animals.

And which unfortunately have no bones or animal material.

Unfortunately I don't know how to give them the stuff.

If I get back to Kenshi modding I could make that a separate mod based on this one. If you ever feel inspired, you can use this mod as a dependency and then create some factions and see how it looks. It's a really great idea to give variety to the different factions that exist.

You know what else would be great in this mod? Tribal inspired factions living around the inhospitable areas of the continents much like the Haida people, the Apaches, the Tlingit, and other groups that used to live on the plains and coastal shores.

I mean, it's up to you, but this mod really brings out the native tribal aspects in the game that certainly fits inside the post-apocalyptic theme of Kenshi.

Pants added. They are exactly like the leather pants, but made with hunting gear. Let me know if anything is wrong with them as I won't be able to test them at the moment.

Great mod. Love the possibility to craft your own stuff and survive in the wilds without a base. Nice work. Unfortunately the leg clothing seems to be missing but who needs pants anyway.

Is there some other prerequisite tech for crafting hunter's leather pants / skirts? I see a crafting option from skins for every other slot but no pants, which seems an oversight.

He does say in his comments that it's usable as long as he gets credit. Which is why I was thinking a patch mod that has his as a dependency was the way to go, and I wasn't sure doing what you described would do that linkage.

I'll have a look at that. I think I need permission from the creator of that mod to do it.

What you can do is pop this and that mod to the editor, and import the armor into this mod. Then you can add it to the hunting research.

Adding items to animals is simpler. You can find the animal in the editor and add anything you want into it's death items. Maybe one to three plates per Beak Thing.

Any chance I could beg you for a patch mod that adds this Beak Thing based armor to the hunting armors, maybe with animal plates added to Beak Things? My new Gutter Cult rejects anything that doesn't come from the sacred ones, so we won't get the tech to make it as is. And it would go so nicely with the helmets .

Thanks for the catch. There are also game starts that give you the tech automatically. Be advised, some have no other tech than hunting, and some are normal plus the hunting tech.

Make sure you've either bought or researched the hunting tech, then build either a trinket basket or the other zero resource one, don't remember the name, and craft the Hunter's parts kit or something like that. 3 of those will let you craft one of the other hunters stations that open up crafting clothes, armor, weapons, crossbows, or bolts.

I changed it, but I need to take a proper look at it to see that it is what I intended it to be in the greater context. For now the stats are what the armor is based on in vanilla.

Hey- the archer armor has dexterity multiplier of 0.00- which basically bones anyone wearing it for things like reload and combat speed. Is this deliberate or a mistake?

There is a separate category for the all the hunting stuff once you have the research. You can buy the research from most bars and if you see hunters walking around, they might sell if to you as well. Not sure about the cost in vanilla, but it should be pretty cheap. The category is called "HUNTING".

Once you get the research, there is one free basket that will produce the basic kit needed to craft everything else. I think it's called the trinket basket.

I am pretty new to the game but this mod intrigued me. Where do I craft the weapons, I have weapon smith built and basic weapons researched but cant find where to build weapons. Same goes for armor

I never got around to that, although it was likely because I wanted to keep it as simple as possible as to not conflict with other mods and so on. The only thing I did try was making animal AI act in a way where it would be more of a challenge to hunt, but it ended up being either super annoying, or too easy, so simple was the key here.

This mod was also pretty old, like from 2019 at least I think, and I had to re-upload it due to a few reasons.

Let me know if there's other issues! I have been playing with this mod on for a while and it seems to be working alright, though I have not gotten some of the items done and so on and a lot has changed with the Kenshi editor and the game itself.

I have actually been searching for that lol It's been in all my games for ages and I just never spotted which of my mods has it. It's a huge annoyance to try to not click it. Kudos to you my friend, I will remove it right away.

For some reason this mod adds a "TESTING" research category with all buildings in game or something like that. Probably a mistake?
