In any case, this is a great way to make rain and water have more of an affect on the game, especially in cold biomes.
Also ReGrowth: Core has bathing, albeit with less intricate execution.

The game recognises 3 level of intelligence: Animal, ToolUser (think robots) and Humanlike.
The mod's code checks whether a Pawn is in water or in rain. However it, the check is attached to memory gaining , which only happens if a Pawn has mood in their needs. However, mood is applied only to Pawns with Humanlike intelligence.
Long story short, the mod as is makes animals too dumdum to get wet lol
There is certainly a way to make it work with animals, but I don't have enough time and resource to essentially rebuild the mod
So you wouldn't jump in a pond in the desert to cool down?
