I found it.Can set it in the mod settings.The smaller the number, the faster the speed. I thought the speed was the fastest when I reached the maximum before
1340815253 14 Dec @ 5:56am
Have you recently modified the baby's eating speed.toddler eat very, very slowly on their own.Interrupted by other events can lead to eating again
I've noticed that sometimes the auto-generated baby clothing textures for toddlers don't display properly. An error occurred when I tried to dress babies in outfits added by the "Ponpeco Kids' Clothes" mod,Error code as follows:
Failed to find any textures at Things/Pawn/Humanlike/Apparel/PKCKidVacsuitA/PKCKidVacsuitA_Baby while constructing Multi(initPath=Things/Pawn/Humanlike/Apparel/PKCKidVacsuitA/PKCKidVacsuitA_Baby, color=RGBA(1.000, 0.451, 0.157, 1.000), colorTwo=RGBA(1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000))

Such checks do supposedly exist, but they are clearly not working very well right now. Revisiting that logic is getting close to the top of my priority list.

Thank you for the report, and for naming a range of situations - it's useful info.
John Summer 10 Dec @ 10:49am
Would it be feasible to have some kind of check in place for when pawns take a toddler back to crib, or feed the toddler, or play with him? I see often a toddler getting out of the crib to go eat, and he's grabbed by a pawn and put back in the crib, then he gets up again, is grabbed again, etc... I could just enable pawns to feed toddlers who are able to feed themselves, but then I see pawns interrupt a toddler who's eating in order to feed the toddler. Inconsiderate pawns will also wake up a toddler in the middle of the night to play with them as if this couldn't wait until the child is awake.

Think I've fixed the Dead Man's Switch issues.

It turns out the massive size increase in the mod files was a result of my starting to use Publicizer - a tool I still don't fully understand. In light of the truly unreasonable size, I have removed the source from the latest upload.

Moving it in and out of the folder every time I want to update is a little awkward and something I'm liable to forget, so I'm still looking into simpler compromises. In the meantime if you see the size balloon again, it's probably because I have forgotten to exclude the source, so do let me know.

@VVAo
The default baby clothes included in this mod are pretty limited. If you need more options you can use the settings to allow them to wear child apparel, which will open up parkas, etc.

Toddlers will also try to avoid getting hypothermic if they can access warm areas, and adults will try to retrieve them if they're in danger.
cyanobot  [author] 9 Dec @ 3:50am
@baihuadan
Thanks for the report. I clearly need some more null checks, and I'm going to add a blacklist mechanic to exclude races like these as my next priority (hopefully later today, we'll see how it goes).

As for the previous version, you can get it from the GitHub (https://github.com/cyanobot/Toddlers/commits/master/) by going to a previous commit and downloading the .zip.

@OMO
It looks like Mincho uses its own custom solution for baby graphics, not the standard HAR approach. Therefore the generic HAR patches don't work for Mincho.

I've only looked into it briefly, so if anyone happens to be better informed on what's going on with Mincho babies, please do let me know.

I'll add a compatibility patch to the to do list, but it's going to be very low priority since it is only one race and looks like it might be complicated. In the meantime I'll add a way to blacklist the race from becoming toddlers, so that at least they don't break.
cyanobot  [author] 9 Dec @ 3:29am
@若彗
Having looked at the HAR definitions - there's a field for whether a body part should display in bed or not, but I can imagine that this would also be used for body parts other than hair so I'm unsure about hiding it based on that tag alone...

I'll look into whether I can come up with a sensible bit of logic to try and catch "hair backs" like this. It'll probably take a while to implement, so don't hold your breath.
VVAo 6 Dec @ 2:13pm
Is it okay to wear down jackets on toddlers in winter? The problem is that once they learn to walk, they might run out into the cold and become hypothermic.
1340815253 6 Dec @ 6:14am
Under normal circumstances, when the cultivation of humanoid machines is completed, the texture becomes similar to a humanoid. After adding the Toddler mod, the texture remains the initial texture when cultivation is completed.then releasing the machine will result in an error

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3374615241 。Cultivating humanoid machines will generate errors when completed.After investigation, it was found that removing the toddler mod would make it normal.

The Dead Man's Switch: https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3121742525&searchtext=the+dead+man

Hello! I've encountered an issue while using the mod in combination with "The Dead Man's Switch". Specifically, generated units like "Fortified Humanlike Mechs" are being recognized as human Pawns by the Toddlers mod, which then attempts to read their age, infant stage, ToddlerTracker data, and limb development information. Since these fields do not exist for the mech, a null reference exception occurs.

Would you consider adding an option in a future update to disable infant-related detection for mechanical units, if time permits? This could help improve compatibility. Additionally, if it's not too much trouble, would it be possible to share the version prior to the last update? Since the issue didn't occur before the update, I'd like to try reverting to see if it temporarily resolves the problem.

Thank you very much for your attention and hard work!
Industrial_Idiot 4 Dec @ 6:39pm
Ngl it's somewhat horrifying that this is now 100mb when it was only 60 a while ago.
OMO 2 Dec @ 6:02pm
I found that when using toddlers, the Mincho's textures disappear during activities in the toddler lifestage, and there are no error messages.
サメはいいぞ🦈 2 Dec @ 4:31pm
I'm sorry. I had actually forgotten that I had been playing with the version down to 1.5 due to the mod I was using. When I tested it with 1.6, the Baby body was displayed without any problems!
若彗 2 Dec @ 1:41am
Then can we apply the same logic as when sleeping, where the hair at the back is hidden while they sleep?
cyanobot  [author] 2 Dec @ 1:38am
@若彗
Hair is unfortunately typically a single sprite, and can't be separated into parts like that
若彗 2 Dec @ 1:35am
How about hiding the hair at the back when a toddler is crawling forward?
cyanobot  [author] 2 Dec @ 1:28am
@若彗
I see what you mean. I think it would look even stranger if the hair did not stay aligned with the head, though. I think the easiest option is to restyle your toddlers (you can use the dev mode tool T: Change Style) to use the shorter hairstyles until they are older.
cyanobot  [author] 2 Dec @ 1:22am
@サメはいいぞ🦈
I can confirm that on my machine, with just Toddlers, Wolfein, and their prerequisites, the toddler is correctly receiving the baby body graphic.

Can you try testing with just those mods? If it still happens for you with just the bare minimum, one of the mods might be (slightly) corrupted and re-downloading them might help.

If it only happens on your longer modlist, it is probably a conflict (which I can look into if you can figure out which additional mod(s) is/are causing it).
cyanobot  [author] 2 Dec @ 1:10am
@VVAo
Thank you!
cyanobot  [author] 2 Dec @ 1:09am
@Q
On the GitHub (https://github.com/cyanobot/Toddlers) you can browse the commits to access previous versions. Go back to just before the latest HAR commit and download the ZIP of that.

I am a bit confused though, I didn't think I changed anything that would drastically affect performance. Are you running HAR? Have you tried Dubs Performance Analyzer to diagnose the issue?

Is anyone else having this problem?
若彗 1 Dec @ 4:07pm
Some alien species, like the Kiiro, have hair from infancy. When they become toddlers and start crawling, if they have long hair, it looks very strange at this stage. Is there any way to improve this?

Once upon a time I wanted to make a translation, and I did it
Q 27 Nov @ 11:36am
Ever since the HAR update I experience extreme lag with this mod active, to the point where even the menus are unusable. It's likely an issue with my many mods, so is it possible to upload the previous version somewhere?
サメはいいぞ🦈 26 Nov @ 5:59pm
This is happening even with new save data. I have installed nearly 350 mods, so there may be a conflict somewhere.
cyanobot  [author] 26 Nov @ 9:41am
@サメはいいぞ🦈
Hmm, it was working with Wolfein for me. Is this on an existing save? Does the same happen on new saves?
サメはいいぞ🦈 26 Nov @ 6:00am
Additional note: In the baby stage of Wolfein, the body remains as a baby, but when it moves to the toddler stage, the body changes to an adult.
サメはいいぞ🦈 26 Nov @ 2:34am
Thank you for the update!
I just checked with the minimum configuration and Milira and Kiiro have been successfully upgraded to baby bodies, but Wolfein is still in an adult body. Is it possible to fix Wolfein?
VitaKaninen 26 Nov @ 2:24am
I think you must have left the source files in there. 112 MB is a bit much.
Thank you so much for your work! Including with the HAR overhaul
cyanobot  [author] 25 Nov @ 8:22am
Finally finished the HAR overhaul - hopefully this should fix the body texture issues.

Please let me know if it's working, and if I've broken anything else in the process.
cyanobot  [author] 18 Nov @ 7:28am
@KomejiKoishi
Thank you! As one of my earliest mods, there are still bits of code in here that I wrote before I even knew what a null check was. I see the issue, fix will be in the next update.
KomejiKoishi 18 Nov @ 7:25am
I am encountering a System.NullReferenceException in Toddlers.GetRest_Patch.Postfix during JobGiver_GetRest.TryGiveJob, which suggests the patch might be failing to null-check the job instance.

@若彗
Noted! Last time I checked I couldn't find any mods adding baby-specific clothes, so I didn't think it needed accounting for, but if those are out there now, I'll add adjusting the settings to the to do list.
cyanobot  [author] 18 Nov @ 2:29am
@Hugalafutro
Subtle bugs involving putting toddlers in bed when they shouldn't, or vice versa, are the bane of my existence. x_x

That said, adults put toddlers to bed, by default, under a bunch of circumstances, including when the toddler is trying to sleep on the floor, and when the toddler is assigned to sleep in the schedule. You can switch this behaviour off in the settings (if that is what's happening and you don't want it).

I'm not totally sure how I'd animate the crawling tbh to keep it visually distinct from walking. Maybe a smaller magnitude wiggle? I'd have no problem with Yayo's overriding my animations if you wanted to request it there, but I have so many other things on the to do list that I'm afraid I'm not going to tinker with the animations any time soon. Thank you though!
若彗 18 Nov @ 2:24am
Some mods may add special baby outfits, but when the option to let babies wear children's clothes is enabled, these outfits will be hidden.
cyanobot  [author] 18 Nov @ 2:15am
@Vercreek
The baby tribalwear ought to inherit its tech prereqs directly from the adult tribalwear, so it ought to work automatically. It did last time I checked - let me know if it's not working now.

@若彗
The infant clothing provided by this mod is pretty much a clone of the child clothing, so if they can wear child clothing there's not really any reason to also need baby clothing.

Is another mod is adding baby-only clothing, so that you need both? If that's the case, I can think about adding another option.
cyanobot  [author] 18 Nov @ 2:10am
@the wizard
There's an option in the settings to turn off feeding toddlers who can feed themselves. They aren't supposed to interrupt if the toddler is already eating though, I'll put that on the issue list.

@Maux
Noted, put on the list.

@2780566281
If the toddler doesn't have anything to do in the prison cell, approximately their only options are sleep and mess around in the crib. Have you tried putting some toys in there? That said, I haven't tested much with prisoners - there may be issues there.
Hugalafutro 16 Nov @ 5:15am
Best mod ever! I got 4 little beans crawling around a gravship giggling and boosting everyone's mood :D

When childcare was at 2 pawns kept taking crawling toddler to bed, but after I put it to 3 they stopped (most likely a mod conflict of sorts on my side)

Any chance the toddler crawling could be animated when Yayo's Animation is loaded? Most of other actions are but when the toddler crawls its just static. No idea on which mod's side it needs to be patched. It'd be absolutely cute seeing the little beans wiggling as they crawl around.
若彗 15 Nov @ 10:14pm
Is it possible to provide an option for a baby to wear both infant clothing and children's clothing? I really need this.
Vercreek 29 Oct @ 11:58pm
Would this have a patch for VE Tribal's tribalwear research prereq as well? If so, it would be awesome!
negimagi_10 29 Oct @ 11:59am
@cyanobot
About toddlers playing togeather Maybe my mod "more immersive children" will be able to fill the gap in the meantime.
Maux 29 Oct @ 6:58am
Just reporting that when loaded with CE, the gear tab for baby does not show up.
2780566281 28 Oct @ 7:20pm
Is it possible to address the problem of the prisoner’s baby always sleeping, as well as the continuous rocking in the crib and the habit of constantly getting on and off the bed?:steamthumbsup:
the wizard 26 Oct @ 3:07pm
Hello again!

Out of curiosity, I've noticed some pawns interrupting toddlers from eating (even at confident manipulation) to feed them manually

Would there be a way to stop this?

Great mod as ever!
tenten 21 Oct @ 7:45am
This mod isn't just about cute toddlers moving around—get this! Toddlers can even participate in rituals! This means you can appoint a colony leader without interrupting labor... by a toddler!
cyanobot  [author] 13 Oct @ 3:21am
@Decreluous
You've probably tested this yourself by now, but in case you haven't and for the sake of others, here's the "official line" (as it were) on what will happen if you remove mid-save:

I don't know.

The toddler pawns ought to revert to being regular vanilla babies. HOWEVER, a lot of errors will be generated due to the game trying to load saved references to hediffs, thoughts, etc, that no longer exist. I'm not sure if these errors will be severe enough to break your save - it probably depends on the exact save.

Back up your save, try it out with caution.
