Is there a standalone version of the long range pod loauncher and the orbital resource cannon from this mod ?
With it not being updated to 1.6, but the rest of Odyssey needing those utilities, I find myself looking for something like it all the time ...

I'm really not planning on buying Odyssey, so an update would be cool

Having tried Odyssey, I can say with absolute certainty that I prefer how RimNauts handles space.
The space craft costs are much more reasonable, no arbitrary nonsense building restrictions for bases in space, and while it doesn't allow custom space ships, it doesn't need to so it really isn't a problem

odyssey is great but i kinda miss this

idk if the invite is just invalid or the discord server is gone. Trying to remember if I can launch specific types of Satellites with this mod, like an an example one for farming.

@DeftNerd If I had to guess, it'd probably be in the form of a RimNaughts 3 that basically serves as an Odyssey expansion.

@DeftNerf I'd say it's possible they'd likely have to do a fair bit of reworking to remove the duplicate stuff that Odyssey adds so if we do get 1.6 it likely won't be for several months

tbh I really want my ability to make space stations back as I love making space bases to complement my surface bases

Honestly Odyssey has made me actually excited for this mod. Rimnauts interested me but I turned my nose at only being able to use transport pods to get from place to place and SOS2 and SRTS seemed either too specialized or inaccessible for me to feasibly use. However with how much more convenient it is to get and use Odyssey's gravships I'm actually rather excited to see how Rimnauts will flesh out space environs.

please update for 1.6 for those that dont wanna spend 25$ on dlc for a 40$ 2d game that already has a bunch with only ideology and biotech being the truly insane ones

How do I completely disable the 3D asteroids? leaving only the moons visible.

no like honesly.. we're paying ludeon for what? odyssey space view is simple criminal neglect when they could have just stolen and incorporated everything from universum and rimnauts wholesale. so its more like totally offensive how bad it is.

DLC asteroids got nothing on this mod.

I do believe permrust said they're going to wait until the update and odyssey's release to see what they can skip when they start porting the mod over. I recommend giving the team sometime as we knew at least so far there's going to be asteroids, the vacuum of space, and different types of orbital platform. Simultaneously we also know that there's not going to be any moons, or satellites from the screenshots, previews, and gameplay that's being released. After that it's just a matter of waiting. I'm personally a bit sad that the DLC won't have any moons, but I am glad this mod and how it does moons should get an upgrade due to the DLC. With that said great work from the mod team.

Y’all can stop with the o7 they already said they they’re still going to work on this mod for 1.6, they’re just waiting for the DLC to drop. I personally can’t wait for this mod to get updated because the meteors on the world map in Odyssey (and the world map in general) are terrible when compared to this mod

I do not know if this mod will be ported to 1.6 as most of it seems integrated in the update, but thanks for your work and support so far modder.

Does the ground-based antenna not do anything with SoS2 installed? It has no way to interact, no power draw, nothing.

o7 Could this mod change, or be branched as a smaller mod, to just provide the cargo drop pod and the delivery cannon? Even if you can visit NEOs with grav ships, it would be nice to have space capable single-launch vehicles. Also, the cargo rocket was super useful, if expensive, on the ground too, with its increased range.

o7, SOS2 still has the significance of long-range artillery battles with spaceships in the future, but the asteroid mechanism of this mod has been fully integrated into the DLC
