@klapsu You search for them in the Item List as with any other item. I'm not sure why you'd be having that issue, my apologies.
Consequently, all we can really do is recommend people pick up unofficial re-uploads of the mod. I don't normally support that kind of thing, but obviously these are extenuating circumstances. MFTEOTW will not contain this and will need such a reupload to work.
They're still in testing, but our new traits look like this:
MUSIC ENTHUSIAST (-1)
- 20% chance to find an extra cassette in any relevant container
- 1% chance (on top of normal rates) to find a cache
- Spawn with 10 random cassettes
MUSIC COLLECTOR (-2) (mutually exclusive with above)
- 33% chance for bonus cassette
- 2% chance to find a cache
- Spawn with 15 random cassettes, a blank cassette, and a wearable boombox
- Gain +10 items upon opening any cache!
MUSIC SCAVENGER (-2) (not mutually exclusive)
- 8% chance to find a cassette on any zombie even if Zed Drops is off
- Small increase to finding easter egg items
- +10 items and 1 blank cassette upon opening any cache!
- Spawn with a cassette bag!
I completely agree with you on all fronts. It was just a mistake, and not because I feel especially guilty for not making those deadlines--as you said, this is contractless volunteer work for which only one person has tipped me (and unfortunately that tip is only a fraction of what I spent on this mod!)
All that said, the news is all good behind the scenes. :) No ETA, but you should know that I'm very happy with the pace of work right now and I'm honestly just as excited as everyone else to actually get to play with it!
If you care me <3 you'll download Home Labelled when the time comes, there's so much good shit getting dumped into it. From 90 songs to 225! On top of the now 355 songs in the new Encore expansion... you may want a little disc space!
Gonna' be hard at work tomorrow!
The end result is that you can have MFTEOTW's scripted radio stations, presented like in-universe survivor radio stations with dialogue and all, and also your own player-created radios!
It reads as if you're aiming to essentially incorporate True Music Radio within your mod, can you comment on that?
Looking forward to get my hands on your stellar work!
We hope to get the issue resolved soon, but Albion doesn't have infinite time to work on this mod! Rest assured that active work is ongoing and that we'll have the finished mod to you soon enough!
Thank you for clarifying.
I'm sorry we couldn't nail the exact date, but the good news is that we're *basically* done. We need just a bit of time to put everything together for release and make sure everything is functional, but this is by no means a serious delay--MFTEOTW *will* release within the next week, barring a completely unforeseeable occurrence. Realistically, it will probably release within 3 days, but that's veering into hard date territory again!
If you're somehow mad at me, just remember: I sunk a lot of money and personal time into this mod which I will not reap back in any way! I'm doing this not only for free but at great cost, so cut me some slack!
Saw an older message regarding B42 compatibility in february but I'm not clear whether that's regarding this update now in particular.
The good news is that this is a significantly smaller delay than I was honestly expecting when I first put this date down. You'll remember that I said June 20th was a 'tentative, non-solid' date, and I was really expecting to have to delay it by more than just a week!
We've made tons of good progress and I'm very happy with the direction things are moving in at the moment. Thanks for being patient with us!
Now would be a good time to get those last minute requests into the Song Request Box, because I will be finalizing Encore's tracklisting and implementing it on Wednesday. When that happens, Encore's tracklist will be set for a while until it gets its first update a ways down the line. I particularly need songs from during or before 1993, but I will accept any that fall into the 1994-2004 range as well.
If you make such a donation, you can add me on steam and I'd be happy to discuss your request. I'll also make little references to you in the dialogues that I'm writing for the hosts, and I will also officially name one of the custom survivor zombies coming to MFTEOTW 2.0 after you as well!
For transparency: the Encore pack is a separate expansion pack that can be installed and enabled separately from the main mod. It has a lot of extra easter-egg tracks that go into the Easter Egg drop pool, which will include yours.
Now would be the time to send song requests. I have (or will, momentarily) re-opened the forum that existed for this purpose. Please send requests there, for inclusion in the upcoming Encore expansion pack that will add 150-200 songs depending on the number of requests received.
Can't wait to use this in B42!
Cheers.
I'm setting a tentative, non-solid release date to which I will try to stick:
June 20th, MFTEOTW 2.0 will be coming.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for bring it back and for the amazing work you guys provide the community with.
Cheers,
Cheers.

Each host will have many dialogues like these, that will play sparely at routine and predictable times on a(n in-game) monthly basis alongside many other smaller dialogues. Tell me what you think!
For sure, happy to help~ HMU anytime and I'll respond when I can.
And TY for the info on the songs / why there's no fork, appreciated.
Good luck with the move. : )
The songs past '93 are toggleable, in that you can disable the pack and they won't show up. However, you unfortunately still have to download them--and there's a bunch of interconnected reasons as to why I don't want to make a fork without them, as much as I've considered doing so. Realistically, the 250 songs is not that much space--it amounts to about a gigabyte, which is a fair amount, but it isn't gonna' kill ya'.
As for others:
I will be resuming work on this mod in May, and expect the B42 version to release sometime in early June. We will be moving, and hopefully that will massively improve both my living situation and my workflow (i.e. the physical space I inhabit, it's actually really hard to type for long periods of time right now) in a way that will allow me to resume development.
No more delays.
