It only freaks out if you have ever loaded the first map in a session. If you only load map 2 or a different map and then map 2, it only show the little error squares.

CMaterial::PrecacheVars: error loading vmt file for f1_textures/f1_blood_decal002

Game shits itself with this error after going through the level transition. That is, only in the areas where the decal is rendered.

Nice and immersive map, however as a bit of constructive criticism, I would have used grammarly to go through all the grammar on the signs and writing throughout the levels.

@Sapeca Unfortunately no, because I made Alma a solid dynamic prop, meaning she doesn't have a ragdoll anims included.

Not bad, though I would like to give some friendly advice. In order to make your maps seem less like a Garry's Mod map and more like a proper combat map, try to tone down the amount of blank corridors and focus on smaller, more detailed areas. You did a great job in Episode 1 when recreating the FEAR offices but slipped up in the last half of Episode 2. Stay away from super big arenas (the elevator fight was a good exception) and focus on tighter corridors and smaller rooms. That's much more similar to the combat of FEAR and I think it'll make for a better experience.

On a positive note, it's nice to see someone try and make something FEAR-like using the amazing platform that is Garry's Mod. I replayed the first game recently and I've been dying to get that itch scratched, especially since Trepang2 is so short. Definitely keep up the good work, feel free to take as much time as you need to make those encounters feel right. The more work the better

Loved these 2 chapters! I loved how you combined gameplay elements of HL2 and F.E.A.R. to make some interesting gameplay, and the psychological horror parts were well executed. The only complaint I have is this: Idk if it's just the 2nd chapter or if it's both chapters, but I noticed that when you die, you can clear the physics gun but can't get new weapons to continue where you left off. Upon dying at the parkour/combat area near the end of the 2nd chapter, I had to get my weapons back using the Q menu.

im a fan of both FEAR1/2 and seeing stuff like these really makes it awesome to see, good job specially using the FEAR 1 assets, gives so good memories :wrynhappy:

I'm at the part in map 2 where the blow torch spawns. I was holding the blow torch over the lock and press lmb which dropped the blowtorch and fired my shotgun causing the lock to fall off. How do I get through?

Was actually pretty good, my game crashed half way through though it wasn't caused by the map. Had some good jump-scares and enemy placements were fine.

Bruh i accidently left a youtube video of a playthrough of this map in the backround by accident but man did the sound from the video really add to the gameplay. It made it feel like their was shit going on offscreen. Very cool map.

Holy hell, this is the best set of maps I've ever played! A little bs here and there with certain areas you need to go not being clear, but all in all, this is one of the best mods I've ever seen!
The part where you need to go two paths, one being parkour, and the other being combat were some of my favorite parts of this. Well done! Take my points!

@Yorch I'll think about it. For now, all the maps will use standard source engine lighting in order to prefer performance.

is there a way that you make a version of these maps but with all the lights projected shadow? CSM Modern Lighting has made a first person shadow that interacts with the projected shadow, so now we can finally have F.E.A.R. in gmod :D
