Do I need to make my own effects for white smoke or is it possible to just edit a file and get white smoke (to simulate a "Cold Gas" RCS Thruster)?

I have the Hydrogen Thruster Effect Rebuild mod which is based on this framework. Unfortunately when used with a twin thruster block, only one thruster works. Is it possible that you could look into updating this frame work so that if someone has a twin thruster block, then a flame would appear for each thruster? The twin thruster block does work when the Hydrogen Thruster Effect Rebuild mod is turned off.

Hello everybody!

There might be an issue with using merge blocks: when two grids merge into one, all the thruster effects seem to disappear for both grids.

If anyone else has encountered the same issue, please confirm!

Hi @Mexpex I was wondering if you do commissions and whether you have patreon? I am wanting a cold gas thruster effect. A cold gas thruster releases pressurised gas (I think it is usually nitrogen) so is not a flame. Kind of looks like the thruster is a fire extinguisher.

I have the game crash with this mod and related mods when I select Vanilla industrial large hydrogen thrusters. It also crashes when encounters spawn in with these engines. Is there a mod load order for this one?

For some reason, the thrusters placed in survival (not only from the "Hydrogen Thruster Visuals", but also from the "Highfleet thrusters pack") have bugged texture (they constantly glow and do not emit particles, until replaced via creative, or after reloading the world)
Is there any fix for it?
(same problem as @Isaard have)

@Krat3n - No idea, im not touching sound.

@squeech - isnt that a vanilla thing? I guess it looks like its fully off since the "idle" effect/flame is disabled by the config used in "Hydrogen Thruster Visuals"

is it normal that when i install this mod, all of the vanilla thrusters sounds just doesn´t sound at all? or is it me just being dumb? :c

Yes, in the current iteration its suppose to be "disabled" once the thruster is off/0% , since the idea have been to use it for "heat" effects.
If its an issue that it goes down to 0 I could possibly add a setting that allows you to set a minimum limit so that it always got a bit of glow (always and/or when turned on).

just double checking but is it supposed to completely disable the emissive ness of the emissive material when the thruster is on 0% thrust or turned off?

I'm having an issue in my SP survival world where the thrust effects do not show up on any newly built thrusters until the world has been saved and reloaded.
I did some troubleshooting and it doesn't seem to be a conflict with another mod or anything like that, but I did find that the issue only affects thrusters which have been welded.
When placing thruster blocks in creative mode there is no problem, everything works fine, same for ships spawned into the survival world via Modular Encounters.
I tried all the different mods that use the Thruster FX framework (yours, midnight, vtech, etc) and its the same result for all of them so I think it must be related to this framework.
I don't know if this is still being worked on but the mods using it look awesome, hopefully it can be fixed!

- Added workaround for effects not updating when a grid is controlled by an auto pilot on dedicated servers. This is due to a Keen bug, reported it a few days ago

Fixed various cases related to effects disappearing and requiring a rejoin/rebuild of block.
Fixed default intensity of heat visuals when constructed.

thx that the issue with the heat not going when thruster turned off fixed the only thing when you weld the block the heat there

Idk if this is a known bug but on thruster im working on the heat emissive stays if you turn the thruster off while it coiling down is there anyway to fix this

Hi, I was able to implement a workaround. As Mexpex said, it was complex. Took a little reverse engineering to find the workaround but it is now in place and should no longer crash.

@Shade OwO - Both Klime and Draygo (DE API) looked at it so they are aware of the issue.
Conclusion of that: Its a complex issue at its core, possibly a Keen issue,
So its outside of my control.
