I feel like you put it on the wrong class, it fits a lot better for engineer.

I really don't know how you'd change this to be similar to any other kind of taunt either. Maybe you could replace the action one and have him hold the revolver out by the barrel for someone else to grab, and it can be like the rock paper scissors taunt but instead of it being rng, there's a countdown from 3 to 0 and on 0 whoever clicks to draw their revolver first will shoot the other player and taunt kill them. I think something like that'd be really unlikely to get added, and if it were it would still be pretty odd as a moving taunt, but the action 2 would work well with it to taunt all the players around you for not challenging you, and I'd really just love to see a new and refreshing type of taunt that stands out from what we usually get.

A bit late to the party because I somehow didn't see this, but regardless of whether it fits sniper or not I do heavily agree with farkrits that it just feels odd. It's well animated and looks nice, but I don't see how anyone would use this unless if they want to randomly roleplay sneaking around the map. I really think the box trot already fits that niche perfectly even if you were to do something goofy like that anyways.

I see. Well, for the last sequence when he fires the gun I feel like the muzzle flash is not visible enough. Muzzle flash, muzzle smoke is missing from the last sequence. Look up, Lucky Luke.

I'm unsure what you mean by "gun barrel fx is missing," it has a muzzleflash when he fires. Valve is the one that decides what FX are used if any, regardless

There are no taunt-kills in the game that are not either forced cooperative (RPS) or tied to an unlockable weapon, so there is no expectation that this would kill. Think of the Panzer Pants or Road Rager. The taunt is made with Sniper in mind, so there is no multi-class.

Gun barrel fx is missing, does the taunt actually kill, what about multi-class?

The gun shot last sequence is really underwhelming not sure if it's the used gun model or animation of that last bit.

Seeing someone just walking around like that would look very awkward. I like the idea but the execution is just not that good. If it was a simple standing taunt it would be much better. For some reason taunt creation has shifted to moving taunts which sometimes just reduce the quality of the item altogether.

When I first heard about this taunt all I heard was that "it fits engie better" but after looking at it I think it's a really well made taunt and fits sniper just fine. Sure, it could match other classes, more or less, but I think you've animated it very well in a way that matches sniper, whether or not the concept matches him, which makes it a great taunt in my opinion.

This doesn't seem all that fitting for sniper. It would make loads of more sense on spy since he's the only guy to use a revolver or maybe engie since he can fit the generic western gunslinger type a lot better than sniper.

The only thing I don't like about this is how much sniper's waist moves while he's walking. It looks over-animated and unnatural.

I'd argue that Sniper encapulates both of those qualities; while he's definitely an assassin, he's definitely characterised as a very twitchy & vulgar bushman, which definitely fits the gunslinger vibe.

Really well made, but why for sniper? It would’ve fit engineer perfectly (given that he already has a huge number of western themed cosmetics) or maybe even spy (who uses revolvers).

as a western fanatic that would honestly wish for stuff like this to be in the game, i cant see the sniper having this taunt, the character of the sniper is a cold and calculated assassin, not a quick drawing cowboy. though i can see the reasoning behind it, and while it is a great taunt and there was effort put into it, i still would vote no, if it was for engie, which still wouldnt fit the character but theres still a tie to the idea, when you think texas, you think cowboys. Id say instead of dismissing my idea as hate, see it as a way to improve on a good concept

Since other have mentioned about Engineer, I always wondered about multi-class taunts, y'know. We only have 1 class taunt or all class taunts, but I think the Item schema could support multi-class taunts.

But, I never uploaded a taunt myself and don't know if the import system allows for multiple classes. If so, it would be interesting if this taunt also worked for the Engineer, but not making it all class.

Also, that new GIF looks really slick.

I was definitely not expecting the "end" animation to be the shot, very clever. I was like, "okay, the right click is going to be the shot", but no. Very good stuff.

Would change the revolver to a top break revolver design to add bit more uniqueness than having a similar animation as spy's.

It is unfortunately not a simple model swap, otherwise all class taunts would be abundant. Every class has its own respective skeleton with varying different bone sizes, proportions, etc. You've probably seen videos of some taunts being applied to the wrong characters in SFMs and they look almost grotesque if not weird. Being agitated, angry, and twitchy would also not really fit the Engineer very well, he's much more calm, collected and defensive.

And yeah, while this could work for Engie, going off of stereotypes alone, I'd argue that the Sniper has way more of a western gunman vibe than our mild-mannered texan.

Heck, Sniper has plenty of very western-inspired cosmetics already available in the game that'd pair perfectly with with this taunt.

Multi-class would be interesting, but you're also asking for this to be expanded from 24 seconds of animation to 48, even 50 seconds of animation. I did my best to express a more twitchy bushman than a collected ranger

Also, Sniper has been getting cowboy themed items since 2011 (the villain's Vail). If no one ever complained about those, i don't see why they should complain about this.
