Here was me, as Reikland (always !)
About turn 20-ish facing a Vampire invasion of almost a full Army; all 3 gold Chevrons...
They wiped out my 4 various armies of max 1 silver chevrons ...
An my last battle: Karl with a Reik's last elite army: one 3rd 2 silver, the rest, 1 silver chevrons.
Almost won.
The last 2 units of 3 Gold chevrons Vamps with their lord, surrounded by half of what was left of my Army.
Almost ... almost ... and they slowly killed everything ...
... Rage quit !
Great Idea for TW masochists only ...
Otherwise Radious is the BEST !
- Single army wonders under Skarbrand will steam roll entire nations.
- Once the elves lose one major battle against the dreadfleet, Ulthaun is lost. Full stack elven armies lose everything to the autoresolve against a seasoned dreadfleet.
- ANY faction that had a string of wins is guaranteed to be the powerhouse nation. An army of veterans under a Legendary Lord will beat all autoresolve dice rolls.
TLDR: This submod makes the game far too turbulent and small(fewer nations) far to fast. Veterans are TOO strong and the AI uses veteran armies to crush everything in it's path. Get it if you like the Karl Franz falling to the vampire counts by turn 40. If you're like me, however, and want a more organic type game with many nations vying for power until late game, avoid this submod.
If you find any issues, please report them on our discord.
Been loving this mod to give so much more impact to having veteran troops and feeling the loss if you lose them compared to before.
However, one part I find quite painful now is the imbalance between garrison and experienced troops. Now fully upgrading cities and with the garrison buildings cant compete as the AI often have vet lvl 9 troops and only a hand full are unstoppable against a city compared to before.
Would like to see some sort of idea you have to re balance it slightly, I now need alot of armies just sitting in cities because their small packs could take them otherwise.
This could be improved e.g. by giving all garrison units a fixed starting rank of e.g. 4 when upgrading to the last garrision building or alternatively generating experience per round by a new or changed province decree.
I am really interested to know you thoughts on this and this is absolutely no critisim but just sharing ideas and opinions for improvement
There is something I have recognized by playing with this mod and what I just want to adress as an idea or argument to be considered.
First of all it makes a lot of fun to take care of your best veterans, keep esp. them alive in battles and really feel the progress that they are getting more powerful.
However meanwhile all stacks on the campaign (your own as well as opponents) having at least a mix of average ranked units - lets say on average something between rank 4 and 6), all garrision units remain at rank 0. For that reason every garrision fight becomes much more easier with this mod enabled and it is even much more difficult to defeat your own settlement even if you have Tier 3/4 and further garrison buildings.
there is a mod out there called "Regiments of Renown Gain XP" which does not have the issue with that wrongly shown rank9 icon.
But it chanced to untlimited RoR units instead of max 3 of them (recruitment possible every 10 rounds).
Maybe with look into that mod this can be changed by the radious autors.
