I'd love to see a Becker BK-3 and a CRKT M16-14DSFG, but thats just because they're my personal favorite knives in my collection lol. Neat mod, love more melee weapons

@OxTailSafu with 42.12 the fixing recipes were changed so I just removed the fixing scripts all together. Everything at this point will work off the vanilla mechanics of repairing based on tags on the items.

Much props for going in there and rebalancing the weapons closer to vanilla values. As someone who made a private fork of this mod doing the same, I know it must've not been easy. When I get a chance to play the game again, I look forward to seeing the changes you made.

I do have to ask though, did you end up removing the context menu options for repairing these weapons? With b42 now moving that to the crafting menu it seems a bit redundant to have the two of them there, no?

Correcting the repair issue was easier than expected. They have made a pretty awesome change for modders in terms of us being able to have items repairable. All items should be able to be repaired with tape or glue, and if you have the appropriate skill levels and crafting menu requirements you can repair with better reagents.

@Christopher the most recent update changed how the fixing scripts work as previously mentioned in the comments. I will have an update for it as soon as my day to day schedule allows.

Just to remind everyone B42 is UNSTABLE. There will be a lot of changes they make during this time that will break parts (or all) of the mod. Many mod creators are choosing to not update until stable comes out. I don’t get paid to update this mod and am not asking for money but repeatedly telling me it’s broken is making it more likely for me to unlist it until stable is released.

I really like this mod. Unfortunately, it broke for me after the latest update. Every time I click on a weapon related to the mod, I get an error, and I've even had issues where I couldn't equip the weapon at all. I tried running only this mod and errorMagnifier, but the error still happened, so it doesn’t seem to be a compatibility issue with other mods :/

On 42.12, there's an error when right-clicking on a Madax weapon when condition is lower than 10. The fixing scripts changed in 42.12 and that is causing this issue.

@EzeePeez imo all that's needed it just a sandbox options for spawnrates, like, rn its just too much of these weapons, x3-5 compared to vanilla melee spawns

Balancing update coming today, I’ve tested the mod by itself without any other mods and have had no issues. I will be streaming a longer playthrough with several mods added in sometime this weekend. Feel free to stop by and tell me how ♥♥♥♥ I am at the game or just let me know how you like the most recent changes. Thanks for the patience and understanding about update frequency during unstable, once stable comes out I will definitely be doing a polishing update to fix any continuing issues.

The devs broke body locations in build 42.12 that disabled most clothing/weapon mods. They have since patched body locations and mods affected should be back to normal.

How that plays into this mod will need testing. But that should cover what problem they were trying to convey below.

I'll be going over the mod and updating stats of dmg, durability, and looking at spawn rates again over the next few days and probably pushing an update soon but I need to know which of the 73 weapons is having issues to speed up finding and fixing an issue. Keep in mind, when I test and update my mod I do it with no other mods enabled so if you are experiencing an issue I don't experience, I do not consider my mod to be the cause of that issue.

It will be updated when I have time, not sure what the newest update changed but if it has something to do with attachment location it will probably require me to do a lot of work that I don't have time for right now.

looks like i get a bit too much of weapons from this awesome pack compared to all the others, starting with vanilla ones. MLS is used to get extremely rare loot, and most of the weapons i find are these.

If I may add one more bit of feedback as I noticed it just recently, it seems as though many weapons for whatever reason also have higher base attack speed. This was mainly with the axes as far as I could see, both one handed and 2 handed, but I can only imagine other weapons might fall under the same window.

Oops I missed your recent request. I definitely think, besides the weapons being a bit too common, their durability could use a slight nerf. Tbh, the strongest weapons I've noticed are the knives. There are so many knives that have such a damage range that I've seen rival vanilla 2 handed weapons, to the point that I've had to nerf them slightly on my end.

Some strong weapons I'd include would be the Aitormontero Bowieknife, I'm pretty sure that had a rather high damage range for being a 1 handed weapon.

I do also recommend removing the context menu repair options for these weapons, as they're made redundant by the vanilla methods of repairing weapons. Also, you probably shouldn't be able to repair the Katana :P

Maaan, i miss making mods. After next pz stable comes out i might just hop back to pz and start making melee mods again. It's amazing to see you trying to keep the mod alive since i abandoned it like 4 years ago :p

I’m looking for anyone who has played with the current modpack to give some feedback or suggestions. Primarily I’m looking for how you feel about the weapons durability vs the vanilla versions. But I would also like feedback on specific weapons you think may need to be tuned, for instance last night I was doing a run and vanilla hand axe killed 65 zombies before breaking and my gerber tomahawk killed around 85 before breaking (at a higher axe and maintenance level so that may contribute to the higher number). But from some people I’ve spoken with I’m considering nerfing some weapons, specifically the katanas before sending the update.

All models are fixed thanks to the easier method from EtherealShigure, should be able to push an update tonight after work. There are a few weapons that have weird placements of where they’re held halfway through the hand but that’s a tougher fix.

@EzeePeez, in some way that is great news, it means that you are thriving out there, but the "hobbies" suffer on the other end, pretty understandble.

I've had a huge IRL job change so haven't been able to do the work on the mod that is needed. I will get to it as soon as I can. The most recent update may have caused even more issues than there already were.
