At first I was sad to hear you're no longer updating this mod because its a mod I never play without! I am glad to hear you're coming back to modding PZ! :steamhappy:

i managed to get half of my idea into a mod, (about eating food) but the 2nd half which needed some anims i got stuck, (if you think you might be able to help please feel free to add me as friend and i can send you a test link to show what exists so far etc, if you are able to help i can get you a game on steam of something, or we can do a collab etc?) :lunar2019piginablanket:

Oof! I forgot a lot of my stuff got wiped! Some of these I might have to do from the ground up again so if anyone has any ideas or requests, now's the time while I'm having to go through everything.

Phew! I finally got my own game finished and released on Steam. Now that I have more free time I got that Zomboid itch that needs a'scratchin! I think in hindsight my feelings were more of a me problem now that I have time to breathe. I also know that some people from here supported my game's Early Access and I wanted to say "thank you" somehow. So consider these mods back in action! I've got to get familiar with the new mod procedures and then everyone can expect updates. Maybe even some new mods! Stay alive out there o/

The mod is great, but recently I ran into a problem that it doesn't appear in the list. I deleted all other mods, reinstalled this one, but there is no result. So I don't know what to do to make it work properly.

@the pooterman - dude that's so cool, I'm glad you like it. This is my favorite mod hence why I started with this one for b42 updating. It "works" in b42 but the offhand swing animation won't play anymore for some reason. If I can figure it out I will at least update this one but I can't promise an ETA. As for the rest of my mods, I still love the game and I'll be back at some point when there's more to the endgame loop.

fr i looked forward to your mod for b42, im so used to this mod and feel like its a necessity that i js cant play without it. i thank you for your work and i do hope you, or someone else picks up this mod further down the road, i wish you luck in your future endeavors!!

Dear fellow survivors,
There was a problem with the build 42 installation and my workshop folder got wiped. So a lot of my Zomboid stuff is just gone. I'm sure I have some backups on my old laptop but I'm gonna be honest... I was already pretty disappointed in build 42 and looking at the amount of work I'm gonna have to do to update all my mods and get back into the swing of things... I'm just not interested. I'm genuinely sorry to anyone that likes my work and is excited for build 42 but we are talking like 300+ hours of work for a game I don't even play anymore. Other modders are more than welcome to update, use, or re-make any of my mods. Maybe I will be back one day when they release build 42 multiplayer. Until then, good luck and stay safe!

Your work is excellent, which makes me happy, but it can't run in b42 version now. Please update it to make it compatible with b42 version.:steamthumbsup:

Absolutely fantastic idea, but it seems to be SUPER janky, im gonna stick to brutal handwork on its own for now, but if this gets updated for B42 and works better you bet your ass ill be back :)

@ryan If you're asking if it works, for me it currently does.

For those with problems I'll try to troubleshoot a few common issues,

:qq: Problem: Can't manually attack with off hand.
:tera_alert: Reason: Mod isn't true dual wield, it does not enable that.

:qq: Problem: Mod seems to do nothing.
:tera_alert: Reason: Mod adds dual attack that triggers when you attack a close zed while a melee weapon is in each hand. Attacks/shoves interrupt it, this means spam of either can stop the dual attack from even starting.

:qq: Problem: Dual attack doesn't activate when it should.
:tera_alert: Possible solutions: Mod conflict- disable mod(s) until conflicting mod is found keep that disabled, Mod is disabled- enable in new game: mods>find the mod>enable. For saved game: load>choose save>mods>enable mod>click play.

Is there a key I can hold while pressing one of the hotkeys to make it so the weapon in that hotkey slot gets equipped to my secondary instead of my primary?

@Tank The Proto - No, not anymore. Used to be able to but it was janky. There was an update several months ago that changed things so you can't anymore. Things like knife/gun and dual pistols is possible but there are no animation files that exist yet to do them properly. At least none that I know of. If I can find the animation files I can do more.

Any other mod incompatibilities you know of with this one? I ask as I am using this in multiplayer with two of the same 1 handed short blunt weapons (I've tried several different short blunt weapons with the same result) and all I can ever get it to do is either swing just 1 weapon at a zombie or swing 1 weapon and then push a zombie. I understand there should be a sweetspot where it triggers a combo as shown in the video but I only get that to trigger with ground attacks (hit zed with regular swing then combo triggers attacking zed on ground). Any advice?

@ColdSkull1 - Yes, you can add it to an existing save. Likewise, you can remove it later with no problems.

@Mystia - Duration? I don't understand. Do you mean durability? If that's what you were wondering, no it doesn't wear down the offhand item's durability. I might update that later if it is something people want.

@engi (Skeleton Mafia) + @mmd5.0 - Dual pistols don't work yet. There is no animation file in the game for holding two firearm weapons up like that, so I (or someone) has to make one. In the old original version of this mod you could dual pistol and pistol/knife but it looked absolutely terrible.
