I am getting constant errors about your Apparel not having any Apparel Layer Defs.

See here: Config error in InsPAMod_Apparel_HotLocustArmor: InsPAMod_Apparel_HotLocustArmor apparel has no layers . That also applies to Cold Locust Armor, all of the Reconnaisance Armor, and all of the Prestige Armor.

This causes Pawns to be unable to wear it to protect their bodies, and they will constantly put on multiple instances of it.

Doesn't work very Well with CE.
The Non-Power Armors are not working right and give the protection of cloth, regardless of material you make the insulation out of.

The power armors are inferior to CE power armor but still power armor.

The armor items provided by this mod don't seem to be smeltable. Would you please fix that?

CE compatible?
Dracon 3. feb. 2023 kl. 17:13
Requesting advanced compatibility for VFE_Ancients. What the mod does is adding a mending bench allowing you to repair equipment. However, equipment from this mod gets repaired with the items used to insulate them, rather than the main item, which makes it a bit OP.

Example : Marine Armor > Plasteel
Cloth insulated Marine armor > cloth.

Would it be possible to make this compatible with https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879525893 ?

Hi, right now on 1.4 it have a bug that makes some/most items not display the stats in this detail window when you click
I see spam of ArgumentOutOfRangeException in the log, but can't say anything more, this is the only clothing mod I use

N/A, in my testing, insulated armor is always better, armor rating wise, than standard armor, regardless of material and armor quality. Additionally in my testing, it always requires the appropriate metal amounts.

Regarding making armor stuffable, insulated armor is stuffable, but the only stuff you can pick is the insulating fabric. The material for the rest of the armor (ie plasteel, uranium, etc) is not changeable.

Note, I plan on making this mod 1.4 compatible and implementing Biotech recipes if appropriate.

polochon_87, I do not plan to patch for vanilla expanded compatibility. Vanilla expanded is way more than I can keep up with. Sorry.

Could you pleaseF patch it so the prestige insulated armor recipes include eltex when vanilla psycast expended is installed ?

it has come to my attention that i have a mod that makes the vanilla armour stuffable, so i would suggest using the vanilla recipe as a base and adding the cloth cost on top with default armour values and hot/cold insulation inherited from the stuff type

unfortunately i've noticed that the armour from this mod has lower armour values than the non insulated variants. i'm pretty sure this is because textiles generally have lower values than metals. i've also noticed that they don't require any metal parts to actually make the armour, so they end up being fairly cheap when compared to paying for the armour plus the insulation.

i get why it works the way it does, and the best solution i can see is to have the insulated require the same amount of plasteel as the base armour requires metal, and giving it the same armour stats as the vanilla armour, perhaps with a steel variant as well. this gets into awkward balance and user experience territory though, so i'm not sure it's a good idea.
