Can they spawn as robots to keep them in uhh "confinement" and you don't accidently forget to feed them?

Can these guys respawn at some point? i have since lost The Hub and Worlds end surgeons, sho-battais was nowhere to be found

They're contract workers, only stick for 1/2 weeks up to a month depending on what you pay them.

Iirc, They spawn in bars.

However I have a problem, the surgeon I hired at World's End disappeared, and he is no longer to be found at this location :(
