i can't play the game. i set the gamemode to jazztronauts, got into the jazz_bar map, and nothing's happening, it's just the map. is there something i have to do? all i did was install the gamemode

This is the first game to ever make me honest to goodness sad when I finished the story, does that probably say something about me and reliance on fictional digital relationships? probably, but damn, it was really fun, well-crafted, and strangely emotional for a game about working for a bunch of inter-dimensional anthropomorphic cats. 10/10, would take the job in real life.

To give yourself a prop snatcher, you SHOULD be able to type in "give weapon_propsnatcher"

I don't know what is going on but for some I got all the crystals and am now at the outro. but my prop snatcher, run, etc does not spawn in causing me to be hard locked. is there a command to put in to force spawn the proper snatcher? I disable all of my mods already just to be sure. I played this before and never had this issue. I am replaying since my old drive died on me and I wanted to get back to the point I was at.

Is there a way to reset progress? I was playing through the intro and my game crashed and now when I load the map back in I am meeting the cats when I haven't even got passed the zombie room

Hit the big green subscribe button. Then at the bottom right of gmod's main menu click "Sandbox" and change it to Jazztronauts. Then go to start a new game and pick the map "jazz_bar". At the top right, set the game to "2 Players" and then turn on "local server" (even if you are playing alone you must play it in a "multiplayer" game).

because maintaining it forever requires a lot of effort forever... for essentially no pay

why put in so much effort and not maintain it?

So like how does this work? Does it download a map add-on permanently or temporarily and when you're done with that map it just wipes it from your add-ons?

It's a cool mod, but it stopped working for me. Instead of finding the map, it just shows white noise when I press E on the TV in hub

can't skip the tumblr dialogue in the beginning

also for some reason whenever i grab props i used to grab em really really fast but now its 1 per second? brushes still do it fast but its just the props even with my prop grabbing speed at 7 its still really slow

Any servers I've played with this proceed to corrupt themselves really quick and just break randomly. It's really frustrating because one moment, it's working fine, the next, I'm getting errors like "Map "jazz_bar.bsp" differs from server!" even though we were *just* playing.

also the quest for the cellist where you gotta get milk, it for some reason only makes you get a singular cactus in a pot

doing the jazz_bar just does a sandbox map of the bar even tho i have it not on sandbox :(
tho i am doing the intro thing in the other tab just to get in
