@nemman63 This mod will make the map appear in custom battle mode. If you want this map in Campaign mode too, use the GCCM mod. This map appears in Kraka Drak with that mod.

Sorry, I am new and not sure how maps work. This looks really cool, but does it fit into the campaign map, or is a battle map only? In other words would the stronghold show up on the campaign map or not?

to be honest if i was archaon or wulfrik and bring my host to attack the dragon hold, i will take one quick look at it, take my men and march them back home.

@Am Catbug The next map is going to be another dwarf fortress. I want to complete this.... trilogy before starting anything else.

@The Immigration It cause constant damage and the "Freezing" effect, wich reduce your unit's speed by 52% I think.

i really like how you mashed a bunch of existing structures together to create new walls and gates and stuff like that. could you perhaps make a chaos fortress next?

@Apollyon Np, It's a shame it's so limited. Hopefully in my next map that feature will be.... far more easy to use :).

I was fighting Norscans for flavor, so no artillery. That might make the difference.

@M4st3rM_ I'll take a look at it later. In the previous test I did the attacker AI (usually greenskins, because I wanted to test with little artillery and flying units) attacked the first gate with monsters, and then destroyed the second gate. Maybe a different unit roster can trigger a very different AI behavior....

The first gate was destroyed, and then they ignored the second gate. After I sent my lord out, they attacked him, so I had him run back inside, the gate shut, and they continued ignoring it. I then had him try standing in the gateway with the door open, and they continued to ignore the gate. I'll try again and see if I messed up the gate by standing too close.

I tested by giving the attackers 10 units of trolls, assorted infantry, and some siege towers and rams- they smashed the first gate in ~20 seconds and again just paused in front of the second, and the gates were shut with no defending units nearby.

@M4st3rm_ Mmmm the gates were open or destroyed? Because if the gates are open but not destroyed (a defender too near the gate can cause this) and the attacker tries to attackt them the attacker AI will glitch out, and not only in this map. It's a bug you can observe in almost any siege.

This is a really cool map, but the AI seems unable to figure out how to walk past the second gate on the north wall. I had my dwarf lord literally stand in the gate with the doors open, and they still didn't attack but milled around in the barbican.

@dhws The AI here is as good as in a vanilla map. They use walls, towers, protect capture points,.... The only minor issue is that it doesn't take full advantage of the 2 level layout. And we are working to fix that.

And here I was last night fighting the Kraka Drak dwarfs and being disappointed that no custom map was available for them (using GCCM). I hope this makes it to the campaign.
