It's your favorite space child's (and one of mod author's) birthday and to celebrate, we've got a cool new update! A huge thank you goes out to benevolusgoat and Nihil for their contributions in making this update a reality :)

REPENTOGON & Dead Sea Scrolls Compatibility
  • All achievements in the mod now support REPENTOGON (and still work the same without).
  • Tainted Andromeda can now be unlocked just like any other tainted character (REPENTOGON only).
  • Both characters now behave as true soul heart characters (REPENTOGON only).
  • Added Dead Sea Scrolls support, which includes an achievement viewer and mod credits.
  • Added a Dead Sea Scrolls theme based on Andromeda's unique achievement papers, called "Planetarium".

Character Updates
  • Added custom hurt and death sounds to both characters (Thanks to Nihil).
  • Andromeda can no longer shift angel shops.
  • Singularity can now spawn items in Abandoned Planetariums with a decreasing chance for Tainted Andromeda.
  • Tainted Andromeda can now only find zodiac items from the Abandoned Planetarium pool.
  • Tainted Andromeda now requires 4 zodiac/planetarium items to gain the Spode transformation.
  • Reworked Tainted Andromeda's laser synergies (they're actually cool and don't suck now).
  • Tainted Andromeda's gravitational pull on pickups can now be toggled on or off by pressing G.
  • More Options now makes Tainted Andromeda's Abandoned Planetariums contain two random pickups instead of one.

Item Updates
  • Added custom sound effects to Gravity Shift and Singularity on use and Baby Pluto on pick up, as well as to his evolutions (thanks to Nihil)
  • Singularity's synergy with Charged Penny has been moved to Counterfeit Penny.
  • Updated the damage formula for meteors from Extinction Event and Meteorite.
  • Starburst now slightly scales with luck.
  • Revived enemies from Juno are now more transparent.
  • Polaris now properly synergizes with vanilla items that affect item prices.
  • Stardust can now only give up to 8 wisps on the inner ring.
  • Using Soul of Andromeda now plays the teleport animation (wowza).
  • Book of Cosmos:
    • Lowered its charge to 3.
    • No longer grants an invincible Lemegeton wisp alongside the random zodiac/planetarium item effect.
    • Instead, it now additionally grants the effect of the Spode transformation for the room (without flight).
  • Luminary Flare:
    • Now counts as a familiar.
    • Now has synergies with BFFS, Forgotten Lullaby, and Baby-Bender.
    • Solar flares now trigger randomly while there are enemies in the room rather than from killing enemies.
    • Now has a cool synergy with multiple copies of itself.
  • Ophiuchus:
    • The initial tear in the barrage now deals its full damage.
    • Each subsequent tear is smaller and deals less damage than the previous.
    • Overall this results in more damage than before if all tears hit.

Misc
  • Updated several item and costume sprites.
  • Tweaked Spode's synergy with lasers.
  • Fortune telling machines now spawn in place of Wisp Wizards, rather than key masters, when not unlocked.
  • Added Eye of Spode to Golem's trinket pool.
  • Fixed the Analog Stick effect not applying to all players in co-op that are Tainted Andromeda.
  • Fixed Starburst tears not bursting when passing through grid objects with spectral.
  • Fixed Celestial Crown causing errors when certain entities pass through the stars.
  • Fixed Wisp Wizard payouts not being seeded.

Major sprite-exclusive update will come out at a later unspecified date, though.

  • Removed game version check due to recent update. Use this mod on older versions of the game at your own risk.
  • Fixed Betelgeuse not working due to Rep+.

We're planning to have an actual update (not a huge one), this one is simply to fix a couple things related to Rep+. Stay tuned.

General Updates
  • Added achievement sprites for every unlock.
  • Wisp Wizards are now compatible with the Time Machine mod.
  • Added a MiniMAPI icon for Wisp Wizards.
  • Added a Birthcake effect for both characters.

  • Added reference items to Fiend Folio's Fuzzy Pickle trinket.

Character Updates
  • Slightly increased Andromeda's starting range.
  • Andromeda's Birthright now improves the layouts of Abandoned Planetariums rather than replacing them with normal Planetariums.
  • Shifting treasure rooms as Andromeda now converts the treasure room into an Abandoned Planetarium, allowing you to revisit it.
    • Note: You'll need MiniMAPI in order to see the Abandoned Planetarium icon on the minimap, otherwise it'll show up as a dice room.
  • Andromeda can now only shift treasure rooms on first visit.
  • Donation machines now disappear when Andromeda shifts shops.
  • Andromeda's Gravity Shift indicator now appears in planetariums.
  • Tainted Andromeda's treasure rooms now actually have a purpose.
  • Changed how Tainted Andromeda interacts with Planetariums, Abandoned Planetariums, and secret rooms.
  • Tainted Andromeda now has a unique synergy with a certain vanilla item (go figure out what it is).
  • Tainted Andromeda's tears now pass through bishop shields to prevent potential softlocks.

Item Updates
  • Added custom Book of Virtues wisps for all of the mod's active items.
  • Added custom Abyss locusts for some of the mod's items.
  • Added a secret easter egg item.
  • Enemy projectiles stopped in midair by Gravity Shift are now able to damage other enemies.
  • Gravity Shift now has a synergy with Car Battery:
    • Tears/projectiles linger in the air for longer.
  • Bone and black hearts now add 2 charges to Singularity instead of 1.
  • Modded coins, bombs, and keys now add 1 charge to Singularity by default. Modded hearts are excluded for technical reasons.
  • Using Extinction Event in the same room twice now increases the frequency of the meteors falling (has no further effect when used more than twice or if you already have Car Battery).

    • Pedestal items that are consumed now grant a permanent, unique star wisp based on the quality of the item.
    • Consumed pickups can now turn into a random wisp instead of just normal ones.
  • XXII - The Unknown is no longer able to teleport you to the I AM ERROR room.
  • Meteorite's effect now only occurs in uncleared rooms.
  • Sextant no longer reveals secret and super secret rooms.

Fixed an issue where the game could sometimes freeze or become unresponsive when starting a run as either character.
