Changes have breached the gates of HordeTown...

Chiv deserved a more polished and addictive HordeTown, shifty & I have given you all just that. This project started long ago with the goal to make the pacing of horde a bit better, since then it has finally come to a solid state that rivals the official map and crypts as a gameplay concept. Shifty and myself are proud to release a revised hordetown or rather HordeTown V2. Please give some feedback if you have any constructive things to say from your play test(s) that may help us improve any future updates to this item.

EDIT 06/16/2021:
There were a few minor tweaks I forgot to upload which I managed to happen across whilst digging through old harddrives, so I decided as a farewell to C:MW I may as well sling it up here prior to reformatting the drive. I went ahead and added the missing audio files meant to be played during PowerUps and I added my reworked functionality for the Bomb PowerUp, the reworked affect now knocks off enemies at a rate of 0.3secs looped based on half the current living amount but it will always kill a minimum of eight. Along with the change to the Bomb comes several minor fixes to the PowerUps as a whole and the way losing a match is handled. Since I altered the Bomb behavior I needed to account for the chance you picked it up as last player only to die, previously when this occurred it would end the match with the lose state despite completing the wave so that is now fixed with a delay of 10secs before final death check.

TO2-HordeTown2_p

Description:
You and your allies are at the final stages of your ritual near the summon circle in Hordeville. Only one ingredient remains to summon the horde, the blood of a noble! Sacrifice Duke Zeddmier and steel yourselves for battle against the ravenous forces of the horde!

Features:
HordeTown has three distinct areas to progress through. The first is the city entryway where you lay waste to the first few cults of the horde creeping just inside the town gates. During your spare time though the market stalls standing just outside the city walls can aid you, given the right amount of coin.

Save up enough money after 5 waves whilst getting your starter gear and prepare to head towards the church in zone 2. Purchasables are located in the church on one end, while the horde approaches from the other.

If you're itching for further conflict and greater gear, make your way through the blocked gates towards the town center where the third and final zone is. The toll for each zone isn't too hefty ranging from a mere 250 to 500, either unlock them all at once by yourself or progress though them with your allies as you save up the gold. Be weary though, a spirit you sacrificed will wreak vengeance testing your endurance shortly after you make the final stretch!

If you survived the vengeful spirit and laid it to rest in the summon circle where it began you can read the forbidden scroll and try your luck at beating HordeTown by defeating the army of darkness!

Changes:
The HordeTown Revision...

With the revised map comes more polished gameplay for horde allowing players to swap any melee weapon for secondary or primary as well as proper score distribution based on damage to enemies opposed to kills. Many other tweaks have been given to horde such as powerup drops modeled after other wave based games (instakill, bomb, double points, health drops, and ammo drops) which can change the tide of battle. The biggest change to the mode pacing would be the buy rounds restricting players to make wise decisions in preparation for the coming waves or collectively voting to skip to the onslaught, not to mention the layout change to the map where you start outside the town making your way in. We hope you enjoy our tweaks and fixes, let us know what you think of zeddmier and endless.

Most things are ironed out at this point and time, the updates I've been pushing have been more along the lines of score balance and minor bug fixes. Overall HTV2 has hit completion so I hope anyone who happens to play it will enjoy.

Did a simple update to fix some lingering issues in the base enemy spawn handling and tweaked a few things here and there to further polish out what already exists, because I'm bored.

Should be Up to Date and functional for the most part. There's a few issues I need to address but other than those few I think it's rather polished to our standards and could be considered complete at this stage. Nonetheless I started a simple discussion thread for reporting any issues you guys (implying anyone is still alive) come across that could help me iron out the final few problems.
