After Skallabjorn systems completed the intial construction of Asgard Station, when it came to stocking it with utility craft, it was discovered that the Station division didnt pay close attention to what the Small craft division was working on.

When delivered, to the shock of the Small Craft design team, they found that the tried and true work horse, THE CUBE was much to tall to fit into the Commanders specified low profile ship hangar.

Commander Skallabjorn ordered that the staion designers themselves would therefore create and build the next generation of multi purpose craft specific to the station.

The C-Wedge was born.

C for Cargo, C for Courier and C for Capable, this lower profile ship was build to do it all. Wedge for its general shape ( tho the Small Craft Team woudl say thats because it had to be wedged into an impossible space.

Cargo space, a good amount.
Cryo - on board for the long trips
Capable - tho light in armor it can be loaded out with up to 4 hard points without affecting its hanagr door clearance.
Plenty of power, maneuverable and able to get to full speed fast and stop on the proverbial 10c Credit coin.

The Commander test flew the craft itself and not only pronounced it a fine piece of gear for the station, but also put it on the general sales roster for corporate and public sales.
