Grasgar Castle - Bretonnia Updated

Description
Grasgar Castle is the current home of Duke Taubert and the newest large castle in Bretonnia. Since his return from the sea, Duke Taubert based himself at Grasgar Castle by the River Sannez. The Dukes have used this castle as a hunting lodge for generations, but Duke Taubert has been expanding and using it as a base for expeditions deep into the Forest of Adern. Fifteen years ago, it was a modest lodge, defended by a moat and wooden palisade. Now there is a grand keep, over one hundred feet to the top of its towers, surrounded by a moat and curtain wall. This castle is being built as a secure base for an army. The Duke refuses to talk about the purpose of the castle, but as he continues his actions against the Beastmen, most people think that they can guess...


A Bretonnian Walled River City suitable for 1v1 or 2v2 battles.

Fight within the castle walls on the filthy peasants fields.

This is a balanced map suitable for Custom battles and Multiplayer. There are multiple paths for the attacker and the defender. Like my other maps, designed to work well with the AI.

The playable battle area feels pretty good in my testing.


v1.1

- New Name and lore for the map, Grasgar Castle
- I have added a small market, which is a no go area
- Fixed the small bridges and the water planes, attacking units should cross these much faster and look a bit nicer.
- Redid all the walls, decals, some terrain angles and other objects/decals that were causing flickering.
- Added some minor detailing and foliage to the map
- All testing issues should be fixed, now released fully

I've updated the map, found that some of the terrain around the water at the attackers end was stretched and causing some flickering. I've smoothed it out and hopefully that has fixed the issue. I also noticed some of the walls were slightly flickering from overlaps, I have redone all the Castle Walls so it should be gone.

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it. The shimmering occurs from overlapping decals(the cobbled roads/farms), at some point in the overlap they start to shimmer but it doesn't show up in the map editor only in game. I'd already gone through and fixed a few points I'd noticed before I released the map, I will go through and check again. If you can let me know where specifically(ie attacker or defender spawn/ near the castle etc) that helps.
I like to make maps similar in style to those already in the game, so open battle areas which go well with the AI. If you liked this you might like the two Forest maps I made featuring Beastman Camps.

Hi. I find some parts of the ground shimmering weirdly on your map during battle, maybe a bug. Very good map otherwise, looking forward to future updates !
