Swindon-Stroud 1950's V1.2 SWINDON STROUD

Description
It's here eventually! Part 2 of the 1950's route from Swindon to Stroud takes you as far as Stroud (25 miles) on the Great Western Mainline from Swindon over the fearsome Sapperton bank with sustained grades of 1 in 75 in the up direction and 1 in 90/100 in the down direction. Also incuded is the 4 mile Cirencester Town branch from Kemble, the 14 mile Midland and South Western Junction Railway secondary route from Swindon Town to Cirencester Watermoor AND the 6 mile Highworth Branch from Swindon Junction. This makes the whole route currently 49 miles long. On top of this, there is of course the grand Swindon Works built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in the early 1800s and which was expanded on until mid 20th Century until partial demolition in the 1980s. A big thank you goes to Matt Peddlesden of @TrainSimLive fame for helping with a lot of data for Swindon and in particularly the Highworth branch.

DLC REQUIRED: RIVIERA IN THE 50'S, WEARDALE AND TEESDALE, AP STATIONS PACK (comes with most older DLC)

THIS ROUTE IS NOW 'FINAL' WHICH MEANS SCENARIOS CAN BE UPLOADED TO WORKSHOP FOR IT.

To everyone:
if you are having trouble being able to start, if trying to create a scenario, it is OK to subscribe to any of my scenarios (using Warwick Rail's workshop scenarios shortcut listed below) - and clone it.

Hello Colin. This is because the route origin has not been set to the proper co-ordinates. It is using the default, which is the position of the official DLC route used as a template - Weardale & Teesdale Network - which is 54.65717 -1.67800.

The correct co-ordinates for the origin of this workshop route is 51.56574 -1.78582

Edit the scenario you have already created (in the middle of nowhere) and enter the correct co-ordinates in the navigation pane at the top of the screen and press the white triangle select arrow to move to the centre of Swindon. You will find yourself under ground, so use CTRL+SHIFT+HOME to move to ground level. Then use the small scenario icon on the top left menu to create a new scenario. It will be placed in the route at your current position.

Unfortunately I could not find the route at all. Its now in my route menu but all I discovered was miles of green terrain. I couldn't make any scenarios at all. If anyone can assist me or advise me regarding this issue, please help. Thanks. Have a great Christmas & New Year everyone, Best wishes to you all. (Sid) :steamhappy:
