One of Skirus' more successful designs, the Polaris has been a staple of the Terran navy since the start of the second epoch. following the requirment of 'the principle of 3', the Polars carries a dedicated pilot, navigator/bombadier, and gunner. In this arrangement workloads can be shared, and on longer missions even allows for crew rotas to be established thanks to the 'tradewind' function-sharing facilities linking each cockpit. A compact, sturdy and reliable vessel, a fully crewed Polaris can be enough to make most pirates think twice.
