Description
Similarly to my other addon, these new 'vehicles' try to mimic the original NPC's behavior as closely as I could get them while also keeping the addon itself user friendly.

REQUIRES HALF LIFE 2 EPISODE 2

Features

Strider
  • A incredibly accurate main gun with decent damage
  • The strider's signature belly cannon
  • The best height-advantage you're going to get without going airborne
  • Sounds identical to that of the NPC
  • Did I mention you can traverse rivers if they aren't too deep?

Hunter
  • Built-in flechette launcher
  • Fully-animated melee attacks
  • Identical sounds to that of the NPC
  • The ability to trample people with often deadly results

Controls

Universal
  • E - Enter/Exit
  • W/A/S/D - Movement
  • Sprint - Sprint
  • Control - Toggle thirdperson
  • Walk - Freelook
  • Mouse 1 - Primary attack

Strider
  • Reload - Sounds
  • Mouse 2 - Strider cannon

Hunter
  • Reload - Idle sounds + animation
  • Sprint + Reload - Angry sounds + animation
  • Freelook + Reload - Scanning sounds
  • Mouse 2 - Melee attack

Notes
  • The map used in the screenshots is rp_ineu_valley_2_v1a
  • Striders cannot currently duck because of a hitbox issue
  • Console commands for adjusting health are available under the gw_ prefix
  • NPC's do not interact with either entity
  • You can find the entities under entities -> Groundwatch

wait how to make strider stab and crouch? if you want to make your striders realistic, your going to have to add crouch and stab. no offense.

hey @Tanknut i made a mod that fixes the groundwatch entity's called maxwells groundwatch fix [RELATIONSHIPS BETA UPDATE] i was wondering if its ok with your permission to keep this on the workshop i will be crediting you for making this mod of course :steamthumbsup:

this might be a shitty question but where is the "walk' button i have been playing Gmod for around 2 months i am still new to some controls
