I wonder if Mlie would consider taking this one as one of the "continued" mods?

If the mod you want needs it you got no choice

Its generally worth trying to move off it now a days

Ever since 1.3 mod settings have been a vanilla thing
Xml extensions is easier for xml obly modders to make settings

Beyond mod settings the only other reason this mod was used so widely
Was the log uploader
Which frequently quits working due to github changes that hugs doesnt fix for most of entire game versions so we made the standalone a while ago to fix and upgrade

Also the dmca wasn't cause of Chinese players
It was cause some hearts of iron players/modders got in a fight about one of their mods and started dmcaing eachother then spread to dmcaing everything they could
It hit 5 different games by the end of the petty fight

For the DMCA, I think that was Chinese people trolling every major mod from various games.

Also, it’s best to stop using Hugslib mods. Any mod that still relies on Hugslib is basically unmaintained, repacked to new version without fixes or on life support, and the authors using it clearly don’t care about keeping their mods updated.
