this other mod I made is adding +50% instead of +100%, give it a try:

It modifies a bunch of other stuff in the game too though.
I am not playing the game so much recently, so I'm not planning to make a +50% version. You could edit this mod and multiply all the range values by 0.75 though.

I don't think it's possible (or that there is an easy way to make this player only).
it should be possible however to do it for a specific faction (e.g. Satsuma in FOTS) but I don't have the time to work on a completely new mod right now.

that's unfortunate but there wasnt a game update or anything so I have no idea what causes the issue for you
