RT Fuse

Description
Researchable (RT Mods research tab) electric fuses to mitigate short circuits. When placed anywhere on a power network, each fuse will safely discharge up to three of network's batteries, mitigating or preventing the explosion.

Does not require a new colony to add or remove (might throw a one-time error).

I have done this manually, but just letting you know, adding this:

<generalTitle>Title Here!</generalTitle>
<generalDescription>Description Here!</generalDescription>

To your (ResearchTab.xml), give the tab a proper title and description, lol. I just love my game to have everything perfect, of course, remove the PlaceHolders I have already put, use it if you wish, but anyway, thanks for the great mod :Upvoter:

For those who are asking about the hidden cables, On my spaceship I've used them as well, but the batteries in close proximity blew multiple times

The recent dlc kinda made this mod redundant with underground cables or "invisible cables" never shorting, to any one thinking this mod is now useless

I say: making a game "harder" isn't always a bad thing, some people enjoy the challenge of extra work, id say a good addition to this mod now is creating a new cable burn out chance for invisible cables but this is no longer an easy lore friendly alternative if your looking to avoid the challenge of random cable burnouts

the only different between a mod and vanilla content is one is made by the games dev, and the other is made by another person using the same tools.

I can see this branching out into a cool power management mod kinda like the stuff in oxygen not included

Does the game ever say hidden cables can't get zzzt? I had no idea that was a thing.
KubeRoot 23 Jul @ 2:19pm
Yeah, because screw immersion and interesting gameplay, why waste in-game resources making fuses to protect your cables when you can just build cables that are magically immune to shorts! smh people are idiots

its funny that people would rather use a mod that uses components and a magnitude more steel than just build with underground cables to prevent Zzzts, its a vanilla feature so unknown people feel inclined to donate money to the mod author that "solves" it in the least efficient manner possible.

Thank you for updating! I would have donated but your payment processor only accepts Americans.
