The Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Dual Monarchy, is a multinational state held together by a Hapsburg Dynasty is entering its best days. Through the last few decades Austro-Hungary has defeated Prussia for control over Germany, defeated Italy gaining once lost territories, defeating the French and taking Alsace and Lorraine, and colonizing parts of Africa, Asia, and Oceania. As the Empire enters the 20th century it continues to grow stronger and seeks to exert more influence in the Balkans as the once powerful Ottoman Empire is in decline and is losing influence in the Balkan powder keg.
