Athor 'Skyminer' Ironhorn, the dwarven king

Description
Athor ‘Skyminer’ Ironhorn the dwarven king of the dwarven kingdom, Aragania, as a playable character for DST

Stats

Perks
  • Grows a curly Dwarven beard: As a Dwarf his beard grows very fast, he can use his beard hair as a fuel source.

  • Loves mining stone and gold: He gains a small amount of sanity whenever he mines gold veins or boulders.
Dwarves are a little obsessed by gold, so when Athor crafts something with gold he will lose 5 sanity per gold lost in the process.

  • Only eats meat and carrots: He doesn't like green food, but in his youth he was forcefed carrots to be able to see in the dark more clearly. He didn't mind this because he liked the orange things. Any sorts of root would also do: like mandrakes.
He can eat monster meat without problems because he has a very strong stomach.

Special Items
  • Dwarven Tonic: A brew that allows the drinker to see in the dark at the cost of a negative sanity aura.

  • Dwarven Ale: A brew that allows the drinker to deal twice as much damage for a limited amount of time at the cost of a negative sanity aura. Dwarves love this stuff.

  • Wooden Mug: It's part of the crafting recipe.

  • Betty the Axe: An Axe crafted from the finest diamonds which deals a lot of damage and has a very long durability.

  • Dwarven Pickaxe: Dwarves produce the best pickaxes in the world, these pickaxes have the longest durability’s and are perfect for the job.

  • Dwarven Shovel: A Shovel that is made for digging holes. Lots of them. You know we even have a song about digging holes.

    Moving on...
  • Dwarven Warhammer : A big weapon that most dwarven generals use in battles if the tide turns against them. It deals 150 basic damage (200 for a dwarf), but has 40% chance to miss (20% for a dwarf) and the user will lose 5 hunger per use (2 hunger for dwarves). Definitely better in Dwarven hands.

  • Reforged Crown: Athor can use expensive materials to reinforce his own crown which, when crafted, absorbs 80% off incoming damage and lasts 5 times longer than a football helmet.
Most of the weapon values can be altered in the new mod configuration.

    Starting Inventory
    • His Crown, the symbol of might in the mountain home of Aragas which absorbs 25% of incoming damage.
    • A mug of Dwarven Ale that he took with him.

    Background story
Athor was born in the year 970 in the Dwarven stronghold of Aragas, which was carved out a long time ago inside the mountain with the same name.
His parents’ names are Khim and Kharga Ironhorn.
As a young dwarf, he was very curious and active, so his parents decided to send him to the military academy.
Once there, he became obsessed with battle tactics. In his spare time he would read history books or works by some of the greatest generals of Malathorn.
A few years later, he became a graduated Dwarven soldier.
He made lots of friends in his regiment, among them was Barathon Axemane, son of a royal councillor in the Araganian kingdom.
One day he corrected his general by telling them that his plan was full of flaws.
He was initially dismissed by his superiors but the general in command let Athor explain his theory.
When the general used Athor’s tactics in battle the next day they managed to not only beat the Urk incursion but prevent an ambush that had been setup.
The general and his superiors were so amazed by his tactics that they told Emperor Brazhor II about the young soldier and his tactical genius.
The Emperor gave Athor command over the regiment he had spent training with at the academy and gave him his own fortress along the Morgagian border, something that was considered a honor. In the years that followed, Athor and his regiment became one of the most feared elite soldiers and were send to fight off Urk incursions into Dwarven territory. The most significant battle they fought was near the Araganian plains.
They fought from dawn till dusk but the Urks not only outnumbered them significantly, they kept getting reinforcements. It looked like a lost cause but after a long fight reinforcements from Aragas together with the Emperor himself came and crushed the remaining Orcs.
Together the rallied Dwarves pushed the Urks back to their camp were a long fight would have ensued. Suddenly though a large explosion in the Urk camp broke open a hole in their defences and the Dwarves charged through the breach to win the final victory.
Athor rushed ahead to the location of the explosion and saw a cloaked man fight of a large band of Urks, alone. Athor brutally attacked the Urks and slew most, driving the remainders away in fear.
The cloaked person appeared to be a Elf. After capturing the Elf, who was first unwilling to follow Athor back to the encampment, he was interrogated.
Upon interrogation, the Elf said his name was Eremus Adamar, the prince of Myrdinia and that he used to live in Malthen until the orcs massacred everyone. He then told Athor that he was the sole survivor. Athor offered him gold, food and a place to stay which the Elf accepted without hesitation.
The relations between Elves and Dwarves have not always been well, but this was the beginning of a new friendship, one that would impact the world more then they would have realised.
In the years to come they would live in the mountain together for about a decade until it was time for Eremus to return to Coia, the last major city of Myrdinia and now the new capital.
Athor had become very popular in his country, even the Emperor was jealous of his influence. The Emperor tried to get rid of Athor by sending him on suicide missions. After a while Athor found out what the Emperor had been doing and together with as much support as he could muster he attacked Brahzor II and the MountainGuard. After a long fight he defeated Brazhor II in a duel and after his abdication banised him from the kingdom. Athor wanted to put a noble family in power but to his surprise the people of Aragas wanted him as their new king, even the noble family’s stepped aside.
A few years later King Athor visited Eremus who had reclaimed his title as Lord-Regent of Myrdinia back in Coia.
They sat in a bar drank wine and ale and talked for a few hours about what had happened in the past.
They were walking through the forest when they saw a weird mechanical looking portal.
In this timeline… They both couldn’t help themselves to take a peak.

DLJB, I haven't really been active in the modding scene for quite some time. My mods all seem heavily outdated and with each new update, more things seem to break.

I am sorry this happened to you, I will see if I can fix anything once I get the time.
What does the crash say caused the error?

I tried to make the hammer and the game crashed

@뿡쟁이 I removed the sanity drain from the config file and that seems to fix the problem
An unauthorized arithmathic on a non-integer caused the crash.

Updating to the new version 1.13 should fix your issue.
Be sure to let me know if new ones arise!

I someday plan to update my mods for DST, but life just got so busy since then, haha

When I pick up gold, drop it and pick it up again, the game crashes. Is there a solution to this problem?

You could try to do it yourself by adding the DebugSpawn ID of the potatoes to the Modmain (if you have NotePad++ (it's free)).
Just add it to the line :
local carrots = {"carrot", "carrot_cooked", "mandrake", "cookedmandrake", "mandrakesoup", "butterflywings", "honey", "seeds_cooked", "acorn_cooked", "trailmix", "cactus_meat_cooked", "ratatouille", "red_cap_cooked", "red_cap_cooked", "green_cap_cooked", "blue_cap_cooked", "monsterlasagna", "dragonpie", " potato ", " cooked_potato " } in the modmain.
(use the ID of the mod uses though).

And he already has a personal Axe named Betty.

I hope you understand this, but if you don't , I am not going to update the mod because those potatoes are not part of the vanilla game, and could cause conflicts.
