New Haven - Boston (Preview Channel)

Description
ANNOUNCEMENT: This project is being put on-hold until the following conditions are met:

1) The route editor tools no longer crash the game, are more efficient, and are more functional (particularly the gradient and easments tools).

2) Existing routes can be carried over to the Unreal Engine 4 version of the game that is probably set to come out sometime next year.

If these conditions are not satisfied via patches for either TS2016 or TS2017, then I will wait till either the Unreal Engine 4 version of the simulator is released OR a better simulator from a different company is released.

I have been though a lot of crap with this editor and feel like I am fighting a constant battle with it. As such, development isn't enjoyable. If my current work can't be carried over to the UE4 version of the game, then my time is mostly wasted.

I want a great platform to develop on and that's what I am ultimately waiting for.

DO NOT EXPECT THAT ALL FEATURES ARE INCLUDED AND ARE WORKING PROPERLY! DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT MISSING PLATFORMS, MISSING SCENERY, ETC. THE PREVIEW CHANNEL IS WHERE THE ABSOLUTE LATEST VERSIONS ARE PUBLISHED (REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY FUNCTION). IF YOU WANT A STABLE EXPERIENCE ON THE ROUTE, PLAY THE RELEASE VERSION INSTEAD!

The "Preview Channel" is where the absolute latest versions of the New Haven to Boston route are published. It is meant for users to see and test what is being worked on in between major content releases.

The Preview Channel is updated very frequently as it is where all the development takes place. Once a build in the Preview Channel has become stable, it will then get published to the Release Channel.

To test the route, click "Subscribe" and let the route automatically download. Once it finishes, start a quick drive scenario with a locomotive of your choice.

Hi Train538. I know you're probably not going to touch this anymore, but have you found any other simulators where you'll develop the NEC? TSW already has Boston-Prov. OpenRails or Run8 perhaps? I haven't tried SimRail or TrainLife, which doesn't have a dedicated map editor as far as I'm aware, but maybe those are decent contenders too? I know this is a multi-person project from a decade ago, so I don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

I'm very excited for the 64-bit version. I really hope it is more stable, too.

I'm not sure if you're still looking at the comments, but any thoughts about 64-bit train simulator? It probably will help on the stability front!

dichuz123, sorry for the delay in response, but no, the project is not dead. I have picked it up. Expect an update by the end of the month!

This route has incredable possibilities. I salute your efforts to date. It is in a very scenic and important route which is part of the Boston to Wasington corridor. Lets hope that further developement of this route can move forward. It is similar to the very good VNHRR-Springfield route which has recently been updated. I will moniyor the progress and hope it will stay on track....Papa

If you want to add scenery to it, add me as a friend and I'll hook you up. I'll upload changes if people want to make them.

How would you feel if I added to it sometimes and then re-upload it? Are there some parts that you would like me to troubleshoot that are giving you grief cactus?
