short actually should give personal combat, you probably wouldn't do good job with fighting a tiny little goblin with a sword would you?

To add or remove traits just type either of those into the console followed by the trait ID found by typing in charinfo & then the char ID. Easy. Not sure if console use ruins your ability to get achievements because I don't care about those & usually disable them in preferences.
