Killing Floor 2: Training yourself to take on large zeds
By Alpapa
This is a simplistic way for you to train yourself how to deal with scrakes, fleshpounds or test your skills.
You don't gain XP however you will gain personal experience and further your skills. For those that don't want to download maps.

Easy basics for spawning zeds and using the console
Start Killing Floor 2

You will want to enter a solo i.e. offline game, as this will allow you to execute the various console commands we need.

Whilst in the lobby, pick your perk to practice with

Press the F3 button, you should notice a black bar with a green border open at the very bottom of your screen.

1. The first command to enter is [enablecheats] without the brackets, whilst you are in the lobby.
2. Once the game starts press the P button, this will pause the zeds and allow you to move around. Pressing it again will resume them.
3. Give yourself weapons for the class you wish to practice with, the commands for each class are as follows:

[berserk] Berserker weapons
[medic] Medic weapons
[assault] Commando weapons
[shotty] Support weapons
[firebug] Firebug weapons
[demo] Demo weapons
[duelies] Gunslinger weapons
[allammo] Gives all ammo
[healme 200] Heals you 200HP, you can specify a number of your choosing
[armorme 100] Gives you armor, I wouldnt bother with this as you shouldnt rely on armor.

4. There are two commands for spawning zeds, the first one is [spawnzed] which spawns in a braindead zed i.e. it wont move, although will have basic animations.
Make sure you point your crosshair directly forward, otherwise they will spawn in the floor

5. Go ahead and spawn a clot by executing [spawnzed clot]. Leave it where it is, do not kill it, this will stop the wave from ending, spawn a couple for good measure.

6. To increase the difficulty to match online gameplay, you will need to [spawnhumanpawn]. Spawn up to 5 braindead human pawns moving the crosshair each time, if one dies you will have to start a new game and try again, use [ghost] and [walk] to toggle no clip to put them in locations where they wont get eaten, i.e. behind the counter in the kitchen on the map Outpost.

7. Move to another location and un-pause the zeds, clear them all out, once there is nothing left, if you did it correctly the wave shouldnt end and you should be able to begin training.

8. If you want to, you can enable [demigod] which will mean you will take damage but not actually die, a good thing if you want to practice continually without dieing and still see how much damage you took.

9. Time to spawn in a large zed, use the following commands to spawn in live big zeds:

[spawnai scrake] Spawns scrake
[spawnai fleshpound] Spawns fleshpound
[spawnai hans volter] Spawns Hanz Volter
[spawnai patriarch] Spawns Patty

Remember you can pause the zeds anytime by pressing P

If you get tired or want to reset, you can kill all zeds by executing [killzeds]

That's it, enjoy practising on your large zeds.
Note: We spawn in braindead human pawns because of the scaling system; zed health is dependant on how many players are in a game.

Opentrader and opentradermenu are 2 different commands, the opentradermenu opens the menu without causing the game any problems aka it doesn't give any bs

You open the trader menu where ever you are, 'opentradermenu' opens the trader without giving you any problems. Try it out

Not sure what you are trying todo but the trader doesn't work like normal when in the above game mode. Hence we use pause or a command to give weapons.

use opentradermenu it doesn't give you the 5 min cool down

I think it was that they would scale it down for less players as the skill required for the higher tier modes would become near enough impossible except for a select few of elite players, either way here's tw document which shows all information

the devs said they wouldent add hp or dmg to zeds as you up the difficulty and such but add more advanced attacks to them and increase thier numbers. if what you say is true about more players is more hp then tripwire done lied.

Awesome guide. Saves me from hunting around for what console commands do and just focus on what I need to train. Thanks.

If you spawn in a braindead zed once all the live zeds have been wiped out, the wave is locked and will not continue even if you then kill the braindead zed. If you then use the opentrader command it will then start a 5 minute countdown even if you didn't kill the braindead. Basically don't use the opentrader command as it will unlock the wave and then things get a bit unpredictable :-p

no wonder the wave continues when i accidentaliy kill the braindead zed
