March 4th Beta Changes:

Light horse now shock cav.

Shield Screen gives 5 bonus vs infantry.

Picked Peltasts now heavy

Light horse +5 health, Iberian Cav +5 health.

Light and very light cav given +5% speed and +5% mass for light and very light melee and shock cav.

Cimmerian Noble Infantry given +3 charge bonus.

Syracuse - New general with Drop Shields and Barrage

1. Drop shields - Once activated, stays on for the entire game. Within a small area, units will lose their missile block chance and instead gain +35% speed, +50% melee attack and -35% melee defence.

2. Barrage - +35% reload rate for 30 seconds for units in a slightly larger area.

Cimmeria - New general with Break Shields and Ammo refill

1. Break Shields- Must be targeted from very close on to a single enemy unit, and will remove missile block chance for that unit for 60 seconds.

2. Long shot - 60-second active ability, gives units +50 range.
Blade Balance 2.0 is the continuation of Blade Balance but with quicker pike-drop speed and more aggresive pike behavior!

Blade Balance is a mod made by Blademaster and Aronco with the sole purpose of fine-tuning the balance of units and allow for more factions to be viable in multiplayer.

Changes:

1. SHIELD SCREEN now provides 2 BONUS VS INF. Lusitani Swordswomen are 260 cost. Lusitani Spearmen given 60 health.

1. ALL PIKE UNITS DROP PIKES FASTER, AND ARE MORE AGGRESSIVE WHEN GIVEN ATTACK ORDERS. ALL PIKE UNITS NOW 150 MEN SIZE. ALL PIKES HAVE -10 MELEE DEFENSE, AND SLIGHTLY LOWER WEAPON DAMAGE, -3 MORALE

1.1 Added 2 bonus vs infantry for shield SCREEN (Only available to barbarian spears) ability.

2. Increased the mass of all melee and shock cavalry by 16%. Missile cavalry is unaffected.

3. Increased the mass of Briton Chariots by 20%

1. All melee infantry except HELLENIC, IBERIAN, EASTERN variety have only 1 pre-cursor javelin ammo.

2. Barbarian/Iberian spear units have scalable pre-cursor ammo.
- 200 to 500 cost spears - 1 precursor volley
- 500 to 800 cost spears - 2 precursor volleys
- 800+ cost spears - 3 precursor volleys

3. Sword cavalry (e.g. Campanian cavalry, Aspis Companion cavalry and Iberian Cavalry) have 10 bonus vs infantry.

4. Elite damage javelin cavalry (aka Cantabrian, Numidian Cavalry) have 10 ammo now, up from 7. Numidian Noble Cavalry have 15 ammo.

5. Heavy Spears, Armored Spears and Noble Spears for Getae have precursors.

6. All elite shock cav units (those that cost more than 1000) now have the 'Trample' ability.

7. All steppe horse archer units that cost 450 or more (except Scythian Noblewomen) have now 20 ammo.

8. Elite Hoplites (Shield Bearers, Baktrian Royal Guard, Heroes of Sparta, Sacred Band) have been given the 30 damage Elite Spear. Spartan Hoplites have been given the 29 damage semi-elite spear.


10. All pike units have 5% less missile block chance.

10. All dog units now cost 200 less.

11. Heavy Horse has a reduction in health by 5.

12. Briton Scout Riders is now a javelin cavalry with an anti-cavalry spear in melee, but lower reload rates than regular javelin cavalry. 7 ammo like usual jav cav.

13. Peltasts/ Elite javelin foot skirmishers have abilities like Frenzy and Shieldwall and Shieldscreen to make them a more versatile late game unit.

14. Druidic nobles' chant has double the range, and quicker recharge time.


Minor Changes:

- Noble Fighters, Mercenary Noble Fighters and Lusitani Nobles now have the 'Shieldwall' ability.
- Azat Knights now cost only 1080.
- Agema Spears are now very heavy.
- Royal Peltasts are now very heavy.
- Briton Slingers have now access to the 'Quick Reload' ability.
- Agrianian Axemen now have 10 ammo.
- Aspis Companions and Campanian Cavalry now have both 5% less missile block chance.
- Agema Spears now have a charge bonus of 32.
- Pergamenes Noble Cav now has a charge bonus of 82 and melee attack of 50.
- Picked Peltasts now have the 'Precision Shot' ability, + 5 melee attack and + 10 melee defence.
- Egyptian Cavalry now has camels instead of horses.
- Mercenary Gallic Warriors for Carthage have been replaced with Mercenary Celtic Warriors.
- Mercenary Naked Swords' price has been increased to 480.
- Naked Warriors now have the 'Scare' passive ability.
- Camel Archers now have 'Parthian Shot'.
- Camel Spearmen were given the 'Trample' ability.
- Thracian Peltasts now have 10 ammo.
- Thracian Skirmishers have now access to the 'Quick Reload' ability.
- Thracian Nobles' shields now have a defense value of 5, which increases their melee defense to 19.
- Thracian Slingers now have shields with the same missile block chance as the ones used by Germanic Slingers.
- Axemen got their melee attack increased by 5, health increased by 5
- Kartli axemen have a 5 increase in health
- Mercenary Leopard Warriors now have 60 health, the 'Killing Spree' ability and a 'Scare' effect on enemy horses.
- Elite Persian Archers now have the 40 damage bow, highest reload rates among archers, medium mass, and access to heavy shot/flaming shot/whistling shot
- Illyrian Cavalry has 5 more health
- Picked Hoplites have +5 melee attack
- Lusitani Swordswomen have +10 charge. Should pair nicely with their frenzied charge ability.
-Celtiberian cavalry, Scutarii Cavalry and mercenary Scutarii cavalry have 2 precursor volleys, similar to Campanian Cavalry.
-Round shield Swords of Suebi now have guerilla deployment.
-Perioikoi peltasts have square formation ability, all peltasts and picked peltasts have precision shot
-Increasing Parthian Horse Archers' health by 5.
-Rectifying Elite Persian Archers' mass - they are nq Medium.
-Young Axes get one precursor volley.
- Balearic slingers have 30% missile block chance.
-Cantabrian circle gives +10 missile block chance
-Ptolemaic Cav now camel units.
-Camel Cataphracts now 1060 in cost.
-Iberian Cav now 450 in cost.
- Libyan Peltasts have 5 less morale.
- Guerilla warriors have 35 charge bonus now.
- Iberian Noble Cavalry got a price decrease of 80.

Hopefully, with these changes, the barbarian sword spam will be lowered, and hellenic factions will be more viable.

hi, is it just me, or is there an issue with cav for macedon? i dont remember which unit it was but they had no horses?

dear baldemaster. i used fast charge and of course waited 15s. i also used frenzy for the charge and activated pride and headhunt 2s after the charge. then tehy went berserk and lost

highly doubt berserkers lost especially if you used fast charge and pride properly..not to mention headhunt and frenzy lol
