Description
Paratroops from 101st Airborne were dropped beginning around 01:30, tasked with controlling the causeways behind Utah Beach and destroying road and rail bridges over the Douve River.The C-47s could not fly in a tight formation because of thick cloud cover, and many paratroopers were dropped far from their intended landing zones. Many planes came in so low that they were under fire from both flak and machine gun fire. Some paratroopers were killed on impact when their parachutes did not have time to open, and others drowned in the flooded fields.Gathering together into fighting units was made difficult by a shortage of radios and by the bocage terrain, with its hedgerows, stone walls, and marshes.Some units did not arrive at their targets until afternoon, by which time several of the causeways had already been cleared by members of the 4th Infantry Division moving up from the beach.

Map is, unfortunately, not very good. Far too many ambient weapons lying around. If playing as Americans and starting in south, better prepared to go into the game without weapon racks and possibly with a stranded rear echelon. Not enough fuel points for even light armor when needed most, which is flavourful, but paralyzing. If in south, may not be able to get armor in anyway because player two's armor will get stuck behind trees.

A very interesting map, but at this stage unplayable.

Nothing has been fixed since last summer ?!
No way to get out or into a US base if it is in the down left corner of the map
No way to collect guns from the rack
please fix it

I loved this map in Coh 1 !!! I was anxious to play this thought when i started as American in the bottom left corner i couldnt build any buildings ... i am using a mod that makes you build your base as russians and germans do ... the problem is that the base sector is flooded and the engineers cant build the base structures .....plz fix !

Just try to Help : JMWW2 you can delete anything and can add whatever you like in the Worldbuilder of coh2 , eaven if you use Prints of coh1 Maps ! check: www.coh2.org for detaild info !

Position de départ n° 1 en US ( en bas à gauche) = 1ère escouade d'échelon arrière bloquée dans la base et rack du fusil BAR inaccessible à cause du décor, de l'eau ou d'un arbre mort...

You might want to add an extra territory for the top right player. Since if he loses the top right ammunition point, he can't spawn commanders at his base.

I would like to. but unlike objects in the new version of worldbuilder, when you load some maps (builded in old versions of worldbuilder) you got stuck with props (in this case weapons)/textures that you can't (from what I've tested) delete, however there is solution which start from the start or perhaps delete them in coh 1 worldbuilder ...

Has potential. Please remove most of the weapons found on the battlefield, and completely remove weapons from one side to better understand who starts where.
