Ownership

Description
Players can take ownership of structures and items they craft, and prevent any unauthorized use or destruction.

Own traps and mines can be used against other players. Ownership is persistent.

When an owner gives another player his item, the receiver automatically becomes an owner of that item, too.

You can Modify Ownership with this mod.

Server Options
Number of owners
- One: Only builder/crafter is registered as owner.
- Multi: Builder/crafter and everyone nearby are registered as owners. (default)
- Public: No registered owner. Everyone can use public buildings and items.

Share containers: yes / no (default)
- If no, a container can only be opened by its owners (e.g. backpack, icebox, etc).
- If no, a bird can only be taken out of a cage by its owners.
- Server admins can open any containers.

Drop container contents: yes (default) / only on burnt / only on wrecked / no
- If “Share containers” = “Yes”, a container always drops everything when burnt or destroyed and this setting is ignored.

Fortify buildings: yes (default) / 40x / 10x / 4x / no
- Owned buildings resist hammer strike, explosion and fire propagation, and can't be lit on fire by players.
- Nearby objects resist fire propagation and can't be lit on fire by players.
- Server admins can destroy any buildings and burn any objects.

Share equipment: yes (default) / no
- If no, an item can only be equipped by its owners (tool, armor, hat, etc).
- Stackable items are not included.

Players trigger traps: yes / no (default)
- if yes, players will trigger mines and traps they don't own. It's designed for PvP.

Allow harvesting: yes (default) / no
- If no, a farm, a drying rack, or a beebox can only be harvested by its owners.

Owned objects can only be haunted by their owners (to apply haunted effects). Burnable objects won't burn if haunted. Walls cannot be destroyed by ghosts.

NOTE: You can and will unregister all ownerships by resuming a world with the mod disabled. Switch to "Public" instead will keep existing ownership and not register any new owners.

Hello, is this mod still being supported? I have a version of this mod with a fix for the inability to haunt life giving amulets that others craft for you away from your vicinity that I would like to publish (it's a very simple edit of the code, less than 1 line). I wanted permission to publish this mod; if the answer is no, I completely understand.

KoreanWaffles and I did some work and discussion and came up with a couple mods that should fix the boat ownership and haunting issues:

I know the intention is to prevent burnable objects from catching on fire from being haunted, but the current line of code implemented prevents anything that can catch on fire at all from being haunted, even if said object would never catch fire from being haunted, which basically means that haunting 90% of objects has been completely disabled.
