Vanvival - The Build 42 Nomad Experience

Start your journey on wheels and take the apocalypse head-on.
Every run begins with a randomly spawned vehicle — fueled, partially repaired, and ready to roll.
Your new ride comes with keys in the inventory and enough supplies to hit the road instantly.

FAQ
Q: Which vehicles can I start with?
A: Vanilla options and many supported mods.
Q: Are trailers supported?
A: Yes! There’s a 25% chance a trailer will spawn with your vehicle.
Q: Can I use this with other mods?
A: Presumably yes! I didn't overwrite any of the main functions of the game.
Q: What does the Nomad occupation do?
A: It gives you extra bonuses on some skills.
Q: Why am I getting a RVOwner trait detected but no RV mods enabled! Message
A: You've started with the RV Owner Trait, therefore you must enable at least one of the following mods:
- [B42/1] '73 Winnebago Chieftain
- Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars! - Animation Alpha
- PZK VLC (Vanilla look-like car pack)
Q: Why am I getting a Trucker profession detected but Truck Mod not enabled! Message
A: You've started with the Trucker Occupation, therefore you must enable one of the following mods:
- W900 Semi-Truck [B42]
- Autotsar Tuning Atelier - Petyarbuilt 379 [B42] - Only compatible with RV Interiors for now
Q: What does the Van Survivor trait do?
A: It gives you a preset loadout that spawns in your vehicle trunk instead of the randomly generated loot.
Q: Can you add these vehicles?
A: Since this mod builds on RV Interiors by Mickey Knox and RV Life by Bucho Jefe & thepelona, I can only add vehicles that are compatible with those.
Q: Where can I report a bug?
A: There's should be a Bug Report discussion pinned, or feel free to post a comment, I tend to reply quickly.
Q: Is this mod fully developped?
A: Not yet, I intend to add more content to it. So be on the lookout for future updates.

when you spawn at a vanilla location you start with keys and a van or something bigger will be nearby.

I seem to only be able to use the "Nomadic Spawn Locations" and am unable to find a way to use "Vanilla Spawn Locations". Its not in the mod options nor anywhere else that I could find. Any ideas, please?

I have also noticed that this likes to spawn starter vans with armored windows, which in the vanilla lore the game starts 5 days after the outbreak so I don't think the armor is fitting.

Hi, in my game there's no water anymore. My trailer stopped giving me water, but if I go to a van, it still has water, and it even gives me the option to use the pipe tool. But this doesn't happen in Tsar's trailer. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm in B42

this should respect Vanilla Vehicles Replacer (KI5) and not spawn vanilla vehicles if its installed.

can this be limited to only give the player a key and car if they select the trait/start, cause getting a car every new run with 0 cost is insane, cant disable it in sandbox cause it says it basically disabled the mod which means even if you take traits you get nothing right?

can you make it so zombies cannot spawn in the back of my rv when i first start, and also sometimes the house alarm sound goes off when i enter the back. those arent super huge deals but kind of annoying. another issue was the error when trying to lock the door. unless the rv spawns unlocked im unable to lock and unlock it from the dashboard or hotwheel and my splitscreen buddy cant get in

I am having an issue with the car spawning at negative condition, thus being invisible and unable to be interacted with. when the car does spawn properly, i often have it despawn when i reload the save, but im not sure if this is related.

Im having a problem with the trucker trait where the trailer will spawn and almost instantly despawn
